That was terrible blowout minutes. Kennard made a shot and we then go back to Reggie and Mann doing whatever it is that was and Lue not telling them to feed Luke

I think the guys come out tomorrow and put them away. The whole team looked stuck in mud and disinterested in this game. Hope this whippin wakes them up. Especially with some of the Grizzlies trash talking. Shut these young pups up tomorrow

The positive I can take from this loss though is the fact that even as bad as the team played, you didn't see any bickering, arguing or finger pointing.

It’ll be interesting to see what wrinkles Lue adds. He’s been good about tweaks after losses.

More importantly though this team usually responds with better energy after a lackluster effort.

Terrible game. Good teams always bounce back. Let's see.

I think Lue may need to rethink his defensive strategies against quick point guards. Fox for the Kings destroyed the Clippers as did Morant tonight. I think he has the bigs drop down too far. Some of it is poor screen and roll coverage, but guys also need to try to stay in front of their men- better effort is needed.

Agreed. We didn't attack the paint but we left lanes open for them. Pathetic.

Thing is, dropping the bigs down surrenders the 3-point line to defend the paint. We got killed in the playoffs last year by Joker and Doncic draining 27-footers on one foot. Hey, they made their shots.

The Grizz were 6-10 at halftime from 3 and finished 11-19 but 33 points you can live with. 72 points in the paint tonight was like playing hockey without a goalie. I wouldn't worry but the Nets did the same thing to us. The Grizz had a few days off and were watching video on us. I'm not an Xs and Os guy so all I can say is we need some of this---

Hopefully they recover tonight. They did get blown out by Memphis last season once, but I think they won the other 2 games

I understand the strategy- but if they are draining 3s and scoring in the paint, it indicates the team isn't playing any effective defense at all

The haven't been playing effective defense the entire month of February (we are giving up 30+pt quarters 42% of the time).

1. 13 Games in Feb so far - 7-6 record
2. Held 1 team under 100 pts (W)
3. Held 2 teams under 112 pts (2 Ws)
4. Held under 100 pts 2 times (2 Ls)
5. Held under 112 pts 4 times (4 Ls).

January
1. 12-4
2. Held 3 teams under 100 pts (3 Ws)
3. Held 12 teams under 112 pts (10 Ws)
4. Held under 100 pts 1 time (L)
5. Held under 112 pts 5 times (2 Ls)

If this team wants to win a championship, they need to get out of the bottom half of the NBA in Defensive rating.
Lakers are #1 in D Rating and Jazz are #2 in D Rating.
Jazz are #4 in O Rating and #1 in Net Rating (+10.3)

Clips are #2 in O Rating, #18 in D Rating and #3 in net rating (+5.9).

Good stats. BTW, after almost always being our #1 in plus/minus, Kawhi sank to #5 in February at only +3.1. Since he's still averaging 28 ppg, I'd say he's coasting on defense a bit.

FTR--Mann [minus-1.2] Senior [minus-1.5] and Kennard [team worst minus-2.8] are in the red. Lou is #3 @ plus+4.3.
