Kawhi was unstoppable in the 2nd. Keep it going.

You had to jinx that man lol

All of the guards have looked suspect so far including George on defense. Still a strong effort so far

God---Zu and Marcus are SO much better with the first unit, although of course who isn't????? Reggie's just hangin' out [3 pts 3 assists], and he's plus+12.

Fortunately, Kawhi only had to play 6 minutes after playing the whole 1st quarter. Lou held the fort well enough [5 points, minus-4] and the fact remains that he quarterbacks the second unit. You have to play him or trade him but you just can't bench him because there's nobody to take his place--especially Kennard, let's get real.

[Reggie's fine subbing for Bev but he can't run the second team either.]

Back up by 14. Just had to get through the 2nd team minutes while Kawhi got a blow.

Hope Ibaka's willing to accept coming off the bench, because we need Zu with the starters.

Its not just that Zu and Marcus are more comfortable and productive with the first team--it seems to me that Kawhi is too. The straw that stirs the drink thing, which lets him devote more energy on defense and pick his spots to attack on offense. He just doesn't seem to have to work as hard--which means it's more fun.

Kawhi having fun is good for the team. Very good.

Despite some bad turnovers, this has been a good game on both ends of the floor for the team.

Agreed. I think these bench+PG units could benefit from Ibaka spacing the floor as well.

look at Rondo's contract--Lou is producing far more for the same money

Lou is not the problem and never was--Ty tried to give Kennard Lou's minutes first off the bench tonight and it was fuggetaboutit

T-MANN has taken Kennard's minutes, not Lou

__________________________

ADD: Lou was last off the bench behind Kennard and still scored 16. Lou played 25 mpg over the last month or two. The problem is not that he sucks but that we lean too heavily on him. Rondo can barely get off the bench in Atlanta.

Hopefully it's a "get Lou Will's trade value up before the deadline" game.

Kennard was only out there for like five minutes tops and only touched the ball like once. You're trying to paint a picture as if he stunk up the joint which wasn't the case
