My concern is Paul George's ball stopping and "me first" play coming back as this was some of the best ball movement and team effort I've seen in 2 years. Very very good game.

That's all I have to say. Everyone for the most part played exactly how they will need to to be a championship team.

This team is getting my hopes up, but fo the first time since the beginning of the season, I see a vision where the Clippers can actually win the championship this year.
You can't help but go at Paul George can you? Even if he's not playing

I wouldn't call PG a ball stopper. Kawhi is more of a ball stopper. PG has more issues with disappearing than with ball stopping.

In that interview about the Rondo trade, Frank was talking about how much we rely on those 2 to initiate our offense. But obviously they carry the major scoring load as well, so I think there's a fine line there for both players.

Our overall offensive numbers are great and our 3PT shooting has been phenomenal which requires open looks, so I guess on the whole we can't criticize Kawhi and PG too much about ball stopping. I do think this is where adding that experienced true point guard can help re-distribute the ball handling a bit. We didn't hurt our defense in the trade, and the continued good play of Mann/Jackson/Kennard makes up for loss in scoring.

Kennard and Mann aren't getting benched especially Mann who's damn near turning into a leader and the heart and soul of the team. Also I wouldn't disrupt Reggie's flow by slamming Pat Bev back into the mix just yet. Bev has to show that he can stay healthy and string some games together before he leap frogs anybody imo.

I agree with this. Seeing what Kennard and Mann can bring to the table offensively, adds a lot more versatility to the team. Kennard is an elite long range shooter that can find his own shot, which is always a positive, and Mann brings the pressure with his constant driving to the rim and his improved finishing at the rim.

With Bev, the defense is better, but being a point guard with a very limited offensive game keeps the ball in PG and Kawhi's hands more that I'd like. And Reggie is almost a Mann/Kennard hybrid, as he is a good 3point shooter, but drives to the rim at times and is a decent finisher. I'd say keep rolling with what we have now, and if there is a James Harden or a Steph Curry, put in Bev to try to throw them off their game a bit.

I agree.. Pat Bev is a guard in height only. If only he was he was 4-5 inches taller he would be the defensive wing that he actually is

Totally disagreed. How many plays do we see a game where PG holds the ball for 20+ seconds then drives to the basket and looks to draw contact (which never happens) or throws a careless turnover left. If we kept a tally of most turnovers leading to easy baskets, or plays where everyone just stands around knowing PG is shooting, it wouldn't be very close.

My issue is that the team looks much better without PG in terms of ball movement every game he doesn't play. And when we get to a primetime game, PG decides to totally change up his game and be "the man" (when we dont need or want that) and ends up playing him me first game of basketball rather than team play.

I dont think he has has bad intentions, but his ego is too big to realize he's not even close to the level of superstar max player talent that Kawhi is.

Morris is a better shooter than him. We know that by now.

PG just needs to sit in the corner, take spot up 3s and play good defense. Despite what his contract says.

The shade thrown at Paul George is not supported by his stats.

He is team leader in assists, treys made, and offensive rebounds.
He is second in points, field goals made, minutes played, PER, and steals.

Let's not kid ourselves that we can make a deep playoff run without him. He and Kawhi are the ones who are going to come through and create points when desperately needed - and they take pressure off the others as they get so much attention. Seeing Kawhi doubled again and again leaving a man open elsehwhere for easy buckets. Love it. And it doesn't happen without the threat of the two superstars.

EMPTY STATS.

Watch the games, he gets most of these when the game is already out of hand either down by 20 or up by 20.

And I'm sorry? Did you not just watch this game without PG against one of the best teams in the league where Kawhi and company took care of business quite easily AS A TEAM?

PG is the ultimate stat padder and RS player - that's why virtually no other NBA superstars or players respect him at the level he thinks he deserves and why he fell so far in the All Star draft.

PG ball stopping is a concern, but the bigger issue is his turnovers as a PG.

Rondo should hopefully end that and PG can just sit in the corner shooting 3's like what is BEST for the team.

This bucks game was nearly perfect ball movement. We cannot have him coming back and **** it all up with his "superstar" ways
