Where do we fit Pat Bev in at if he plays? Does he move right past Reggie right out the gate?

The Ibaka injury is concerning. We need every difference maker on this team healthy for the playoffs.

Only if Bev is 100% otherwise Reggie takes his spot.

I for one am particularly terrified of playing both the Trailblazers and Mavericks in a potential round 1 series so this will be a great test for us. No Nurkic means Zu better dominate.
Expecting Bev to be coming in off the bench, possibly in minutes with Rondo. I wonder if Lue who is in love w his 3 guard rotation will play Mann, Rondo and Bev at the same time. Not a huge fan of it for offensive reasons, but we have a few games to experiment with.
If I recall we did a great job shutting down Dame last game who went 3-14 (!!!) so we need that to continue obviously and he still scored 20 by going to line 15 times.
Back then, TMann only got 8 minutes of action so hopefully w Bev coming back his minutes don't get reduced.
Lou Will also chipped in 15 pts in 21 minutes last game so we'll need our bench to deliver.
Sadly I see a loss coming given how poorly Dame played last game, but it'll probably come down to our 2nd team lineups.

Re injured George:
"I asked Brian Sutterer, a sports injury doctor who runs a YouTube channel with nearly half a million subscribers, what George’s options are here. An initial treatment is rest for up to seven weeks, he said, but ramping a player back up to full speed often results in setbacks with this type of injury.
“In an ideal setting, you rest until pain-free and repeat imaging to see if the edema is gone. Only then would you ramp up activity. It’s not a high-risk site of stress fractures, so you don’t have to be as aggressive with management as you would with others, like the navicular foot bone,” Sutterer said. “But the challenge for George is now that the season is closing out, it will be hard to give him the adequate rest to allow full healing. So it could continue to be this up-and-down thing that might not get adequate time to fully heal and stay healed.”
Which means 2 options are continue to play him and reaggravate the injury or rest him in time for the playoffs.
I think we all know what the best option is.

Whether it's our won-loss record with/without him, or plus/minus, Pat Beverley's effect on the Clippers is MEASURABLE. We're barely .500 when he doesn't play and--I just looked this up--both this year AND last year, Bev's plus/minus is #3-best on the Clippers!

Reggie's been a hero filling in, but Bev offers that something extra--and something extra is what wins championships. You've got to play it out.

Should be a fun one. Will Cousins be active for this game?

I knew something was up when PG came back only after missing a 2-3 weeks, when some reports where saying his injury could take MONTHS to heal... The start of the season, IMO PG was playing BETTER than Kawhi. Wasn't he shooting 50% overall, including 3pt fg% or something? It was only until returning from his injury that his performance took a dive. I'd like to err on the side of caution myself. I think the team has enough fire power to maintain while PG recovers.

I was thinking the same. At the very least load manage on back to backs.

I have no issue w PG just not playing even if it drops us a few seeds. He needs to be healthy for the playoffs, this is dumb to be playing him w an injury that will only get worse the more he plays.

“We’re trying to figure it out now,” George said with what sounded like a bit of disappointment in his voice. “It hasn’t seemed to go away yet. At this point, it’s just managing the soreness and the swelling.”
“There’s just no pop on the right foot,” he said. “I can’t really bend my toe...most important is if I can play with minimal pain. That’s what I’m going for. We’ve got to figure it out.”
I think they're wondering if resting it only a week or two will do any real good.
