I thought I'd made a new thread.
What changes can the clippers make to ensure a win in must-win game?

Same changes Lue refused to make last game. Bench Rondo, bench Cousins. I would legitimately rather see Yogi and Patterson at this point than those two.

I don't understand why Batum and Mann played so few minutes yesterday. Especially Mann since he's so young.
Game 2 was close to a must win, no way should Rondo have gotten so much run over Mann.
Overall I think T Lue has done a great job this postseason, but last night was odd.

The conference finals of each conference has two players that have been suspended for PEDs playing in the conference finals.
Ayton - Suspended for HGH
John Collins - Suspended for HGH
I doubt these guys stopped taking it and I'm sure they aren't the only ones and the sport isn't totally clean, but I just find that funny.

I thought Ayton was suspended for using a diuretic? The tests were unable to find anything else in his system, of course the diuretic could have been the reason for that, but I don't remember reading about HGH in relation to him

My bad. You are correct. It's John Collins that was suspended for HGH. I don't have a negative view of PEDs in the sport, but I just found it interesting that both guys cost suspended for violating the drug protocols and are in the conference finals.
My view on PEDs is a lot different than people's and Certain ones I don't have an issue with. Just look at Kawhi's injury and the clippers. Let's say he doesn't take PEDs. Why should he have to be punished by the NBA's scheduling that landed his injury in the first place? Same thing with the clippers playing on those games and have virtually no time to have recovery by playing every other day. The nba schedule is grueling on the body, but you cannot take drugs to aid in recovery. I don't know, something sounds off about that.
Some things I do think should be illegal, like stuff that increases twitch responses, stuff like that. When you're able to make snap decisions with the aide of drugs, in basketball at an elite level, I think that should be illegal, but I don't have an issue for pretty much the recovery stuff. The nba and other major sports league indirectly endorse it because of the grueling scheduling and I'm not just talking aobut the clippers or the PO season, but in general.
but I digress. I said enough.

...but it'll be tougher. Suns will have Chris Paul back:
But Kawhi Leonard...
Clippers know that if they lose Game 3, it's automatically over. Lue has relied on the 3-0 automatic series win to psyche out the opposition, pulling all the stops he learned from the first two losses to ensure that Game 3 is the most difficult win of all. The return of Paul combines both mystery and misery as they will finally face their former savior in the playoffs. Remember, Clippers are down 2-0, not 3-0. I think they pull this one off to prevent the automatic loss, but if they're gonna win this one, it may require Clippers pulling off a 3-1 comeback.

Lue is coaching for the long game. He knows that role players typically player better at home and not as well on the road. He knows that starting Friday, there will be games or travel every day the rest of the way.
I don't agree with benching Boogie yet. Boogie's post season appearances have all been on the road. Bring the guy in in front of a friendly home crowd and see if he can create a spark. The guy has the ability to get to the FT line which can get us to the bonus early.
All playoffs long, we have failed to take advantage of Bonus situations.
Zu and Boogie and their ability to get to the FT line is going to be very important for us. Look at these numbers so far:
PG, Zu and Boogie combined for 27/35 at the FT line. They account for 84% of made FTs and 85% of attempted FTs.
Zu and Boogie are a combined 15-17 at the FT Line. They account for 47% of made FTs and 41% of attempted FTs.
Ayton was a +4 in Game 2, but a -7 in Game 1. I think Zu could have pulled more rebounds with better positioning. He seemed to keep getting caught too far under the basket . I hope to see Zu grow throughout this series. He has to rise to the challenge against Ayton.

We need something from Sr. tonight. I know he's not 100% but if he continues to be a corpse out there, put Pat Pat in.
We can't rely on Reggie Jackson being our #2 guy every game.

I think Kennard is ready to finally step up tonight. He was looking good at the end of game 2. We'll see

not sure the home court advantage will allow Boogie to move laterally on defense better, but agree with everything else you said.
