What were your expectations until Kawhi got back?

Seems like the Clippers are on track for around 45 wins, give or take 4-5 games.

If Kawhi is healthy in late April, they should be able to compete against everyone. How has the team done against teams with winning record?

I would say without Kawhi, we are a slightly above .500 team at best. This is assuming that MMSr will show up every other game.

Honestly I already counted Kawhi out this whole season including the playoff, if we make it.

I thought 6-8 seed but 4-6 would be a miracle

I don't see how we even sniff the playoffs without major trades. The offense is atrocious.

Throw in Mann too. Sell before the league figures out he’s a fraud.

Mann is a 2nd round pick who has outplayed his contract so far. He was extended at the amount of the MLE which is what he would demand on the open market. He's mainly disappointing because he had a strong playoffs so the expectations got higher

I agree wholeheartedly as he's strong as sh*t and a hell of a defender and rebounder.. but I think the frustration comes from him passing up layups and shots especially when he's wide open and has his man beat off the dribble. That sort of thing has got to stop now when the margin for error and putting up points against a good defensive team comes at a premium

It will end up also depending on how other teams play as always.

Memphis is 11th in Ortg and 30th in Drtg, that's an even worse situation than the Clippers who are mid 20's in Ortg and 2nd in Drtg.

Injuries are killing Denver who is 21st in Ortg and 15th in Drtg

Portland is the Clippers opposite, 4th Ortg vs 29th Drtg

So basically there are a lot of flawed teams in the 6-10 range below the Clippers which means the Clippers have just as much of a shot as them. Lakers are also there, but they have a lot of star talent and it is hard to bet against Lebron, but they could struggle all season too with Mr. Westbrook out there.

Still the 5 seed within distance of the 3 seed it’s not doom and gloom time. Bounce back get reps and keep pushing

The marathon is just beginning we have a long way to go and we are still on the mix whether we make a trade or not

a lot of griping about a team that's been bowled over by injuries which also lost to probably the best team in the league.

Manic depressive board. Take your meds everybody. We're not going to be world-beaters with so many key players continuing to be absent.

No Batum and no Kawhi, what do you expect against the best team in NBA (presently).

Turnovers drove me crazy, so many lazy passes.

I think with everybody but Kawhi back, and Mann and Bledsoe get some consistency, we're a better than .500 team, and in the lower middle of playoff ladder. Kawhi comes back we're a threat to everybody.
The Clipper fan understands the Book of Exodus better than anyone... what it's like to struggle 40 years in the wilderness... and Genesis.. why Cain went after Abel... So fLakers, look out... we're coming.

I've accepted that Mann is more of a spark plug off the bench type player does a lot of little things than the guy who scored forty plus in one playoff game. So far, his biggest flaw IMO is his slow release on his jumpshot. It seems like unless he has enough space and time he will pump fake and drive to the rim instead. He needs to develop a more quick release on his three point jump shot, which is a more valuable shot in today's game.

I'm not worried at all by the Lakers. Clippers will finish above them.

Still in the 5th seed with all injuries and crappy play on offense. The West had alot of injuries and disappointing struggling teams below us without a light at the end of the tunnel. This is far from over

The good news is, at least in the west, no teams beside the Warriors and Suns are blowing anyone away. Denver will be without MPJ and Murray for who knows how long. Lakers are a mess. Dallas and Portland are same ole same ole.

His problem is he doesn't have an identity on offense. That's why quite often he looks indecisive. Can he create his own shots? Handles not good enough. Is he a spot up shooter? Doesn't seem confident enough. Does he have a midrange game? Nope. Is he a slasher? Not really, more than often he looks to pass when driving to the hoop.

honestly, just wake me up when the team actually has batum back

i'd suggest the same for all the dudes here dangling off the cliff but you're there for a reason so i highly doubt it'd do much good

most of the turnovers were terrible- either due to carelessness or tentativeness. Anything is better than a turnover- if nothing else, just chuck it up toward the rim- maybe a teammate will get a tip back or a rebound- maybe it will even go in due to some lucky bounce

This play pretty much sums up Mann on offense. Whatever he decides to do, he doesn't do it with a purpose.

Trade Reggie. Only one with value like Lou. No one is trading for Eric

Yup, he's not an offensive initiator, he's a secondary guy, which means he's best if he's catching and shooting, attacking close outs, slashing against a rotating defense. He's not going to be consistently effective when attacking a set defense like that against a good defense. The Warriors are an on point defense, those lanes are not as open.

We seriously cannot ignore PG going all out Westbrook. What's killing us are his TOs. Every time PG has the ball I cringe. It's a TO waiting to happen.
I actually thought had we played smarter we could have won this game. Our ball movement was atrocious. There were at least 3 possessions in a row we managed to F it up.
Luke needs to get it going also. We need those trays to go in if we are to have any chances of winning against anyone.
