kristina pink doing pretty well as a fill in. has a lot more chemistry with brian than anyone else so far, besides corey maggette. wouldn't mind the least bit if she replaced jim jackson and/or fratello.

Even mediocre playmakers like Tyus and Melton makes big difference. Our lack of P&R threat is blooming

Imagine we have Tyus Jone or Melton instead of Bledsoe. Speaking of Bledsoe, I didn't even notice he played today. Oh yes, 0/0/0 in 10 mins in the 1st half.

Just play the rooks and try to match energy for energy. Our guard play just isn't there to beat the better teams

Team can’t keep going like this even with the strong start our depth and ability to hold on has not worked

Without Kawhi and PG, the Clippers may be one of the worst 5 teams in the NBA, if not the worst. Quite sad watching these games- it's like no matter how they start or go on a run, you know they can't win- reminds me of the pre-CP3 era

Re: Game #40: vs. Grizzlies 12:30pm PST
Serious question: will we win a single game the rest of the month? Looking at the schedule, Orlando on the 26th is the only game I feel remotely good about, but if we can't even compete against the severely depleted team we saw today, it's hard to feel good about winning ANY game.
How bad does it have to get before our incompetent front office starts getting some criticism? Bledsoe and Winslow are both awful and those were our big offseason moves.

Like I said last week the problems with this team are deeper than x amount or x type of guys being out.
I can’t get over these guys making millions of dollars and then talk about how they’re disappointed in their effort.
But don’t worry. If Lue says it enough times it’ll come true. Just gotta play better. Hmm. You think?

Depends on how well people understand the salary cap and limitations in signing players. If a person understands enough about the NBA salary cap and knew that the Clippers were extremely limited in what they could do in the off-season, their expectations would have been that the biggest thing they could do was resign their main guys and after that, just maintain flexibility.
Winslow wasn't a big off-season move, he was signed late at less than half the MLE and was a "hope he can show something and maybe he will be useful later" signing, not a we expect this or that performance signing. If you look at the players signed for $4M or less who would both make sense on the team in terms of fit and getting a desired role AND would want to join the team, you're not going to find impact players. Will you find better than Winslow, yes, will you find players who would change the current record by more than 1-2 wins? Nope.
I would also say that draft picks would also count as off-season moves. I'd say they did pretty well for where the team drafted (not to mention going from one pick to 3 picks). I think re-signing players like Batum for $3.3M count as off-season moves too, and he's one of the players making less than Winslow who is better.
Bledsoe cost Beverley, Rondo and Oturu. Rondo has sucked, Beverley has been okay, but like always is injured and Otoru has played like 18 minutes all season. None would change the current record. Bledsoe has a contract that gives an extended trade window and far greater trade flexibility compared to the other players because it is decently large, has an extra year, but is only guaranteed $3.9M. I thought we all understood that reality about the trade? His trade wasn't simply about player talent, it was about contract and trade flexibility and options. Him performing well would be considered gravy. (Not to mention opening up two roster spots, saving tax ($30M) and the trade exception)
