Coffey continues to play well. Really wish Mann would step up more offensively.

The vets on this team continue to shoot like hot garbage. Jackson, Morris, Batum, Bledsoe, Ibaka should be leading this team, not shooting them out of games.

January PPG stats so far(8 games):

MMSr - 17.3
Coffey - 12.8
Reggie - 11.9
Batum - 7.5
Mann - 10.9
Bled - 8.9
Ibaka - 8.6

Besides Coffey, NO ONE has stepped up. MMSr is putting up numbers he's supposed to put up, so I wouldn't even say he has stepped up. Kennard has yet to play in 2022, we really miss him. He played his best basketball in a Clippers uniform in December.

This is certainly where Doc excelled. He always had us in the top 5 in FTAs every year, even the year with no All-Stars [we were #1].

The last 2 years we are 28th. Ty is a quiet guy. Doc is always working the refs--and it pays.

I don't think Lue is capable at this time. Especially with Kawhi Leonard on board. They're trying to be model citizens, Good Samaritans playing for the good of basketball. Just like the San Antonio Spurs did, whom Leonard was once a part of. Keep in mind, Clippers wanted Leonard initially to repair their public image after years of living under Donald Sterling and his shenanigans. Look up Clippers in the dictionary, and you get "incompetent, inept, dysfunctional, racist, sexist, slumlord, corrupt, losers." Adding Leonard changes their image completely (although there are some departments from within the franchise that are still adhering to the Sterling ways). The addition of Leonard was more about repainting the Clippers into a more mature and disciplined franchise.

If you want proof of the Clippers becoming Spursian, look at their ejection count. Since Lue took over from Doc Rivers, the Clippers have not had a single ejection in the regular season by either a player or a member of the coaching staff. The lone one by Beverley in the Western Conference Finals versus former savior Chris Paul remains the only ejection, but that's in the playoffs. They still get technical fouls and flagrant fouls, but the ejections are the bigger deal, for it shows self-control and poise. One ejection, especially if it were to come from Paul George, Kawhi Leonard, or both, and the whole sports media world will crucify the franchise as pure evil, the same old Clippers, as if Sterling never left.

Like the Spurs, Clippers are trying to win with kindness. As we've seen over the years in the NBA, it's really hard to do. Outside of the Spurs, when was the last time a team won a title without an infraction (tech, flagrant, ejection) or suspension? It's never been done.

What on earth is wrong with Reggie Jackson? He has regressed significantly this season. He has to be ranked as one of the worst starting point guards in the NBA. Maybe they've asked him to carry too much of the load.

yes this is why his career hit the skids in Detroit--trying to carry a bad team

Reggie found himself by being a role player on a good team but now he's back in the frying pan, but it's not his style to play it safe and hide--if nobody will step up and shoot he will

The good - Ibaka was great in 18 minutes - 10 boards and 10 points, 2 blocks. Coffey becoming a young stud - 20 points and 5 boards in 32 minutes. Hartenstein sighting, 6 points in 6 minutes.

The meh- Morris' 15 points in 37 minutes is unsatisfactory. he was 6 of 17 in shooting. Did have 6 boards. Zubac - 21 minutes, 9 rebounds, 2 assists, only six points though. Batum -13 points in 27 minutes, his 7 boards almost get him into the good category. Mann - 31 minutes but only 6 points? Where is the young star?

The bad - Jackson 3 of 14 shooting, 7 points in 24 minutes. His 4 assists and 0 turnovers don't get him out of the doghouse in this game. Bledsoe - 3 of 11 shooting and 4 turnovers in 26 minutes.

Guard play SUCKS right now except for Coffey, front line now should be stronger with Hartenstein working back in.

Kennard out OVER TWO WEEKS NOW with Covid? Yikes.
Still holding breath over PG13... season-ender or not?
