I like Baldwin, but he doesn't fit a need, we need a true one or a modern five, and haven't worked that out just yet

One prospect I hope the front office is looking at is Khalifa Diop:

https://pistonpowered.com/2022/05/03/pistons-draft-big-center-2nd-round/
https://eurospects.com/player/khalifa-diop/
https://www.eurohoops.net/en/eurocup/1342040/khalifa-diop-wins-eurocup-rising-star-trophy/

Just having someone who can step in and get rebounds would be huge for this team, setting aside everything else. The scouting reports make him sound like a more modern DJ. As a reminder: the last international big man I hyped up as someone the Clippers should go after was Isaiah Hartenstein... just saying.

I'd be stoked for Kenny Lofton or Christian Koloko....Koloko fits a bigger need but I absolutely love Lofton's potential about being an absolute bruiser in the post

Hilarious. 6-7, 275. I'm game. Projected 2nd round or undrafted. Yes, he is Kenny Lofton's son!

God, I miss Reggie Evans. The man was a criminal--5.5 PFs per 36 minutes. I'd love a 2023 version. These guys today are pu$$ie$!!

Maybe Michael Foster? I wish he was an inch taller and/or had an inch more reach. He seems like a guy that has good skills now; a high floor guy considering he could be available in the 40s. Nbadraft.net gives his comparison as 2PAt; I'd be down with a 19 and a half year old version of Patrick Patterson. 8-)

I see Foster shooting up, he should go in the ,20s, but man, if he's available, would be a quick snag for me.

My realisticish list, as of now, would probably be:
Koloko
Kamagate
Davidson
Lofton
Molinar

And of course, udfa guys I'd like to invite to training camp would be
Juzang
Jaquez
Manek

They ain't at the combine, they are Santa Anita park placing bets on the horses...

Really though, I think draft night will be a surprising one for us for some reason

As I read more on prospects and watch tape, I think I got my realisticish wish list as:

Koloko
Robinson
Chandler
Kamagate
Terry

If we can somehow come out with Koloko and Terry, who fill our biggest needs as a backup one (yes, Terry is a PG in a 6'7 body) and backup big, and have chemistry together.

TucsonClip would be ecstatic to bring in two Wildcats as well

No chance Terry is available. He's going round 1.

He's one of my favorite players in quite some time out of Tucson. He's a connector, ball mover, high IQ wing, pretty solid handles, really good vision and passing skills, quality defender with length, good laterally, not an elite athlete, and a really, really good kid.

If his range and jumper keep developing, he's making $100+ mil during his career.

If Koloko is still around, somehow, I'd definitely look into him. Elite defender for a big man, who can switch out onto the perimeter and handle guards and wings. Really long, excellent laterally for a guy his size, great rim protector. Needs to get stronger, especially in his base. He should be dunking everything. He's still a good rim runner, not great as a passer, but has a lot of potential with his jumper. Good form, good FT shooter, he has some range and will develop that in time. No post move, very mechanical, and will struggle with beef inside.
Plus, why would I want to go to the NBA? Duke players suck in the pros.

Omari Moore worked out for the Clippers but he’s withdrawn from the draft. Thought I’d throw it out there anyway.

Keve Aluma worked last week. As did Buddy Boeheim.

I like reading about the guys we're bringing in for workouts, but I gotta tell ya'--based on recent experience, the Clippers have been scouting second tier guys in the draft for a few years now, and already know who they're going to take. Mann wasn't taken on a whim. Neither was Boston. Coffey got picked up for nothing. To recap:

    - Coffey was undrafted in 2019. the Clippers picked him on a two way almost immediately. At the time, I was pissed because Johnathan Motley and Angel Delgado had been playing pretty well and they got dropped. Apparently, the Clips had been looking at Amir for a couple of years.
    - Mann was a 48th pick. He has three times as many win shares as any 48th pick in the last 14 years. The Clippers had had their eye on him for years.
    - Boston was a 51st pick. Six of the last 12 picks never played an NBA game. After his single 19 year old rookie year, Boston has already played more than all but two of the last #51 picks in the last 15 years—Monte Morris (nice pull, Denver) and Thanasis Antetokounmpo (who is 29 and has played less than 400 minutes more than Boston.) Again, a player the Clips had been scouting for a while.

I know we still mention Jerome and, yeah, maybe it's because of Jerome. But the Clippers have been unusually strong at evaluating talent in the last few years--so much so that, as I said in another post, we've actually got a core of NBA caliber rotation players that are 25 and under (Zu, Mann, Kennard, Coffey, and Boston) with the jury still out on Preston and, maybe, Scrubb. None of those guys are all-stars, or are likely to be. But those players started over a third of our games last year; they're NBA quality players. In terms of recent scouting, we've done real, real good.
