secretly been worried zubac would seek a really big pay raise at first chance so this fairly modest raise is good news.

Zubac and Noel (rumored) would be nice at center.

Nice contract. Can’t be mad at that.

Yah, I could hang. Been following Noelle Noel since the 76ers drafted him. They threw him into the deep end of the pool and expected him to swim and so has everyone ever since. Yet another extra-tall kid who's not a kid anymore, has made a ton of money in the NBA and still doesn't know what his job is out there.

Frankly, lacking a Joker or an Embiid, I don't even know what to do with the 5 in the NBA now. Ty made mincemeat of Gobert--multiple DPOY and the best Trad-5 in the game--in the playoffs. Ayton is in the RFA Animal Shelter praying to be adopted. Drummond, a 4-time rebounding champ, is an UFA who played for the minimum last year. And might again...

Draymond is listed at 6'6" and has 4 rings.

Good for Zu.

He earned it.

Team could have locked him in for a cheaper year, but treated him better. Smart. He hasn’t peaked yet.

Good for Zu and also a reasonable deal for the team.

Good move for the team. Zu is a quality center

It's a good deal for us and Zu. Bottom line is he's a durable, dependable guy, a 25 mpg player that has been an anchor on very good defensive teams whose best years still very likely lie ahead. Everyone comes out of this a winner.

Zu is very much a part of the team's identity. Glad we got a fair deal done, especially with Hart signing with the Knicks. I wonder if the team will start looking for another backup big. Hopefully they can find another diamond in the rough like Hart.

They did each other a solid, Clippers declined the cheaper team option to give him the extension now. Win win.

Zu has always been a fixture for us, except when matchups dictate otherwise. We need a 2nd center that is a little more versatile on defense, and then 3rd center is our small ball.

Hope to see Zu slightly more involved in our offense when Kawhi comes back, the two of them had some decent chemistry. Wall should be able to help with this as well.

It'd be so cool to have a coach trying to focus on fixing his achilles heel. Snyder got his lessons from Gobert and getting max from traditional centers he has now in Hawks.

Can't imagine Lue even have any idea to use Zu any type of scheme like this.

Zu cutting to the hoop is problematic--slow feet, no hops, bad hands

You missing the tweet. It's about your big to position himself to create advantage of opponent big's presence for the other 4 guy on the field. Zu-Mason-Diabate... Watch carefully after 00:26, schemes like this makes it easier a lot of things for bigs as long as your coach hasn't obsessed with small lineups.

No, you're not hearing me. Zu can't do the slash to the basket from the elbow or the alley-oop. Plumlee, a little better, but not really.

Zu's already been setting up at the top of the key for years, with a crappy pick and an even worse roll to the hoop. This video does not work for Zu or even Plum. We talk over and over about "getting Zu involved in the offense" but it's a fool's errand.

We've been running this play for Zu for years now but it just doesn't work.

Zu is what he is, a decent backup on a championship team not a starter
