I'll take the Phoenix under... maybe under too on Minny (making twin towers work = slow start?) and Memphis (Jax Jr injury)

Gotta have Cleveland over. They had a ton of injuries this year and have a super young team--which means they'll improve next year. And they were 44-38 last year!

I really don't get the 41.5. They'll be around or over 50, imo.

On a related note--don't be surprised if there's a rumors, maybe true, of the Clips being in the market for Love at the trade deadline.

Man, I hope so. Something I was wondering was how PG would adjust to naturally losing athleticism. When he was young, his high tier athletic ability was a big deal to his game. He's a smarter, more mature player now--and I think that'll translate to a longer effective career. Eventually, I think PG will transition--like Batum--to more of a 4 or even small ball 5. I hope he stays a 33-35 mpg player for a few more years, but I could really see him, once past 35 or 36, shifting down into 25-30 mpg as a super effective frontcourt stretch player for a few years.

This year, he's gotta be a top level Robin. 8-)

Bored:

Is there a buyout/cut-candidate big that you'd immediately sign to a guarantee over Moses Brown for the 15th spot?

Usual Suspects:

Robin Lopez
D Favors
Alex Len
G Dieng
Cody Zeller

Holmes and Sabonis are big minute locks. Keegan Murray is going to get a decent chunk of time at PF; I figure any combined minutes beyond 3000 for him and Barnes will be at PF. That’s way more than half of the minutes at PF and C … and Alex Len, Trey Lyles, and Chimezie Mezu are on the roster, as is KC Ozpala. They'll be fighting for about 1800 total minutes of playing time. Something has to give; I figure Mezu and Lyles will fight it out for 8th/9th man minutes, Len will be the "true" 13th man big, and Ozpala willbe at the bottom of the roster. The loser of the Mezu/Lyles battle should ask for and get a buyout, or a trade for a couple of second rounders. And we should be the team making the trade—either of those guys would help a lot, now and in the future.

Our wings rebound really well … other than Powell, who’s an average, at best, rebounder. But he’s okay at SG, and he defends well there too…and that means we could run a “small” team of

Covington (6’7” with a 7’2” wingspan)
Kawhi
PG
Powell (6’4” with a 6’11” wingspan)
Wall (6’3” with a 6’9” wingspan)

that rebounds well enough and is incredibly long and flexible. I’m hoping for a variation of a saying about Garry Maddox in the 70s.

“Two thirds of the earth is covered by water. The rest is covered by the Clippers wing defenders.”

I think they kinda have to start Reggie. Plus Wall, Norm, Mann going downhill off the bench would be great.

Ty also indicated yanking Zu early then running him back in with the second unit.
