this is an important game- can't have a hangover from the demoralizing Bucks loss

Clippers are one of nine teams left in the league to not have an ejection this year. Even if they have another losing streak, the last thing they want is a player getting tossed. All it takes is one ejection for the whole world to believe something is truly wrong with the Clippers and changes must be made. They are validators, confirmations, the realization: another way for critics to say, "See, I TOLD YA SO!"

The last time a Clipper got ejected, that player was traded. Beverley was tossed for pushing Paul in the 2021 NBA Playoffs, and Clippers felt compelled to send him away just because of their feelings towards the player who made them relevant. If an ejection occurs with Clippers, the rumors of a trade will become inescapable. And if Paul George gets ejected, the Thunder automatically win their side of the Shai Gilgeous-Alexander deal.

Mann needs to be aggressive when he’s under the basket, looks like he passed up a couple of shots that he could’ve made, but maybe my perspective was off.

Pretty good game so far. Clippers playing with effort and energy.

Mann doesn't screw up a lot but doesn't produce a lot either [5 pts, 2 rebs, 1 assist]

but he's almost 6'5", plays energetic D and stands in the right place, so it works [plus+3]
