Clippers may not get a true point guard. Westbrook is reported to be choosing between Bulls or Heat (even though there are contradictory reports of Clippers trying to recruit him), Beverley may look to return to Timberwolves, and Lowry's contract complicates his chances of a release.
Clippers have no point guard. They have a lot of forwards, a few of which have point guard skills. Currently the 1 spot has been turned into a utility position, with guard-ward Terence Mann filling in. My saying is, if you can't get what you want, turn what you have into what you want. Fake the point guard position, just like when they faked the small forward position when Doc Rivers was coach. They have options:
1. A shooting guard who can play point: Bones Hyland is a point guard by height, not skill, he's actually a shooting guard. So, get the opposite.
2. A forward who can play point guard: Preferably a small forward with cutting ability. Returning Clipper Eric Gordon is a guard-ward with passing ability; his highest assist mark was 4.4 APG in his final year with Clippers before being traded for Chris Paul. If they look towards a power forward, that player will need to have center skills: shot blocking, rim protector, "point in the paint," screening, free throws.
3. A G-Leaguer: They could bring back Xavier Moon on a 10-day contract, or pick out another prospect from their Ontario affiliate.
4. Validate a two-way: They can turn Moussa Diabate and/or Moses Brown into actual contracts. Both are bigs with developing or questionable skills.
5. Do nothing; work with what you have: Leave the final spot blank and improvise with the players you have. If the last option is chosen, give me your suggested schemes with players you have. Don't just say "Leonard and George will fix everything."
Poll stays open for 20 days.

PatBev makes some sense, but I'd wait for a bit after that and maybe up-convert Brown/Diabate later... unless I really though a waiver claim on Bitazde or some other younger player was a worthwhile "have a look" opportunity.

from an actual playability standpoint i don't think beverley is a viable answer for us. i don't think he adds value on the court anymore.
from the standpoint of adding some fire and spirit to the team in a juncture where we super need it, yeah i'm all for it. i just don't want him taking any minutes on the court unless it's an emergency lol

I don't see a point in converting Moses or Moussa with the Plumlee acquisition.
Give Xavier a ten day contract, continues to do well with Ontario until the buy out market solidifies.

Just like Lob City Clippers never could get a good small forward, the current Clippers seem doomed to never have a decent point guard. I say just let the current guys step up.
