Clippers need to get back in the win column. It stings having lost two in a row when they were winnable games.

Kings - up by double digits late in the 4th.
Denver - multiple non calls that robbed Clippers of a couple of points late in the 4th.

This is the game on TNT that the country / world will see the true potential of these LA Clippers

Automatic Win

1. Timberwolves are a lottery team, under .500. Easier to defeat.

2. Clippers play well when they're one game away from a 3-game losing streak. They already have two. The more 3-game losing streaks they have, the more difficult it becomes to clinch a playoff spot, if not even make qualifier.

It's also the final meeting between Clippers and Wolves, with both teams tied at one game a piece. Beyond a 3-game losing streak is the right to a playoff spot. Clippers win, Wolves could drop into the play-in tournament. But if Wolves in, Clippers will be the ones stuck in the qualifier.

I also did some math. If the Clippers have a 3-game losing streak, I predict they will lose 10 in a row, dropping them out of the playoffs completely and prompt a coaching change (It would also mark their first double-digit losing streak in more than 10 years). Should Clippers lose 10 in a row, they would have to be perfect for the rest of the season to get back: 5 wins for .500, 6 to enter qualifier (11-game winning streak total). They would be an 8th seed.

Cmon team we need a win tonight.

My adjustment that I'd like that it didn't mention in the Nuggets game.

In clutch time if the game is close please don't let PG play hero ball. If we need a hero let that be Kawhi who is a far better clutch shooter. Let PG be the off the pass shooter where he excels.

Wonder how the lineups adjust this game especially if Zu is back.

PG's minus-7.6 [per 100] in the 4th quarter is horrendous. Only Zu is worse. PG is shooting 21.4% on 3s with 5.2 TOs [per 100], by far the team-worst.

The rest is deck chairs. It's all in PG's hands, folks. And God's.

i can't tell you guys how to live but the last couple games have pretty much run my expectations into the ground for this team.

not saying it feels freeing, it's more an expectation of disappointment now rather than anything else since i do not see meaningful changes being made no matter how obvious they may be.

but i feel like there's a lot of mental energies being saved on my side since i only see the same let downs happening for the rest of the season. might be useful for any of you guys who are still thinking "well, if ty lue just does this and that and this then we're ok!" totally cool if that's you but if not, come join me in the land of lowered expectations!

Am I reading that right he averages 5.2 turnovers in the 4th alone? I knew it was bad but not that bad.

that's per 100 possessions

In 8.2 4th quarter minutes per game, PG is minus-1.2, averaging 0.9 TOs and 0.9 fouls, while shooting 21.4% from 3.

You might need to go fix your math. Clippers aren't dropping 10 in a row. Clips have 10 of the next 13 at home. New York is the only opponent that is above .500 on the road. The next best opponent road winning % is below 38%. Thinking the Clips will lose another 5 home games (and in a row) after tonight defies statistics.

Our only losing streaks longer than 2 games have been 4 and 6. The 4 game streak was H, @, @, H and the 6 game streak was mostly road games losses. We have only lost back to back home games once all season and that was the Bucks game right after the trade deadline.

How about this: They come out and steamroll an opponent for once and we rest people in the 4th.

Lol that's not how Clipper games work. It's either we get a big lead and blow it coming down to the wire in the 4th. Or get done big early and make a come back down to the wire.

That's Kawhi Culture though. He is not a regular season player, this is not a regular season team. It's all about saving it up for the playoffs. You do the minimum necessary to win enough games to maybe finish in the top 4 seeds. Kawhi doesn't even wake up until the 4th quarter and hits the TURBO switch only when necessary.

It's also the character of an older team. Younger teams have the pure joy of playing and the joy of improving. Our guys have all already peaked and are just trying to maintain an even strain. Mann and Zu are the only regulars under 29--and Powell's the only one under 31!. :o
