Three games in four nights against the Grizzlies (twice) and the surging Pelicans: That's nasty. Then they get the Lakers and Suns in the final week of action. It won't be an easy ride with Paul George out injured, so a slide in the standings certainly appears possible. They don't own tiebreakers over most teams, so they're in a position where they need to win.

Another bizarre 2-game series, Wednesday and Friday in Memphis. Then onto Nawlins for a b2b on Saturday. [Fortunately only a 1-hour plane ride. Not as far apart as you'd think.]

As you know by now, Marcus is BENCHED and now has an "illness" or is protocoled, and is not even on the trip. Last guy who got "protocoled" was RoCo, who was in rotation Siberia by the time he got back. Batum will start at the 4 for the rest of the season. As for RoCo? Dunno...

It would sure be fun if we managed to win one of these next two games. Preferably this one, because my gut says Kawhi will sit out the next one, so he can play against the Pelicans.

I have a good feeling about this game (we lose by 48)

If this Clippers team has any will to win and compete , then tonight it will need to show.

They have given games away all season due to lack of effort and energy OR maybe they just are not as good as we have convinced ourselves.

I have been invested all year by buying Clipper Vision , buying rookie card and spending my free time watching every game this season.

But I am now ready to accept that this Clippers team is just not good enough either because of coaching, mindset or personnel.

Given the schedule and our health, going 1-2 would count as pretty damn good to me. Looking at the standings (but not schedule of other teams), 1-2 should maintain our place ahead of the play-in. We’d have little or no margin for error after that though.

If we were to go 1-2, far better to lose twice to Grizz and beat the Pels. Best scenario of all would be to steal tonight and give Kawhi a night off before Pels back-to-back (if we’re still doing that with him.) But I wont consider it a must-win unless we’re facing the Pels after going 0-2.

Memphis despite all the distractions this season, are still a very good team, I’m giving most of the credit to Tyus Jones, the best backup point guard in the league, he kept that ship steady. If we want to win the West you have to show these teams it won’t be a walk in the park, Clips need to win here tonight. Hopefully!

Memphis very tough at home, so we have to send a message that we aren't scared of them on their turf. They are at home, on a 7 game win streak, and have Ja back. They have all of the momentum. All that we can do is have a WDGAF attitude and take it to them. Hopefully, having Norm back and fresh will add some new firepower.

We need to attack Jaren Jackson Jr with Zu and get Jackson into early foul trouble.

Hope Morris feels better. Guess the team felt that he was so contagious that they didn't want him infecting everyone with his suckitis.

I'll be very surprised if the team doesn't go 0-3 the next 3 games.

Especially if he anticipates sitting the second Memphis game. Get one tonight and we can play with house money in New Orleans.

Agreed. If Leonard bucks the back-to-back load management strategy and plays all 3 games due to playoff seeding urgency, I'd say the outcome percentages are about:

3-0 = 7%
2-1 = 26%
1-2 = 46%
0-3 = 21%

I believe he does, I have the next game as a "scheduled loss" as the New Orleans game has a ton of implications, Memphis, not so much.

I think we win tonight, esp since Tyus and JJJ are out (if I read it right), the youth put up a fight next game, but not good enough and the New Orleans game is essentially a pre play in, play in.
