I did a quick check for season numbers for the Suns.

PPG 113.6 17th and OPPG 111.5 6th


Clippers :

113.5. 19th and 113.1 13th


Clippers defense slipped after the new year

Yeah let's not roll the dice on this one and end up out-clevering ourselves. We can only assure ourself of the 5th seed, lose and who knows what happens.

Might be best to face Phoenix anyways. I believe Payne and Biyombo are injured so they may have even less depth in the first round. Helps even things out if PG is still hurt

There aren't any playoff matchups I feel good about with this team in particular, but I honestly do think a young fast team like the Kings would be our worst nightmare in a series, even worse than the Suns. And we'd get clowned on way harder for losing to them. So I'm cool with just hopefully winning today and not trying to do some ridiculous seed-manipulation BS.

Well....I wouldn't call that much help in evening things out , but Clippers aren't in the position to be trying to play matchup.

Just win and move on, whatever happens, happens.

Suns are an impossible team to judge from the season numbers too because of all their injuries and then the big trade. They are 8-0 with Durant for example, and then Booker played 53, Paul 59 and Ayton 67.

So on one hand, they don't have as much time with Durant, but on the other hand, the rest of the league doesn't have much film or data to scout and prepare for the team with Durant either which is very different than with Bridges on both ends.

Should be fun...

i think this is just a situation where you do the best you can with what you got. our expectations shouldn't have been all that high anyway, but if the team puts best efforts forth they have a pretty good chance against an opponent that has its own legitimate concerns

Yet another bad start against a team that's not even trying to win. The consequences of inept coaching and a front office who only wants old veterans.

I fully expect a loss today and we end up playing the Pelicans in the play-in.

So hopefully we are just getting that one bad quarter out of the way but man we will get smoked in the playoffs if we play like this.

I'm not sure there's any team in the playoffs we can even win a game against at this point. This team is cooked beyond belief.

Clippers will surely send me to an early grave, but I'd still take them over a lot of other teams (cough, Mavs, cough).
