Oh god, please, no extension for either Leonard or George. That's insane. Both have been an utter disappointment. Leonard has barely been healthy and played for the team. And George has picked up right where CP3 left off by more often than not letting the team down with injuries, missed shots, or dumb turnovers when it matters most. Sick of both of them. Lets just move on already.

Well, as the article says, Ballmer has no draft picks either. Any draft picks we get back in a fire sale will be from contenders and not lottery-quality. Does he want to open the Ballmerdome in Fall '24 with the Ontario Clippers?

Rock and a hard place. Man, they screwed him but good with the new CBA. Party's over.

Very true- they have basically no choice but to extend 213 and hope they stay healthy in the next 3-4 seasons

So what does an extension look like for these guys?

Please don't tell me it is going to be like a Lillard or Beal contract, paying these guys 55 to 60+ million a year each.

To me, at worst the Clippers could be stuck with them for two more years because they both picked up their player options. Then hasta la vista baby to both.

I saw somewhere they're eligible for a 1 + 1 and not much else. Frankly IDGAF to look it up any further.

Kawhi &/or PG are either staying or they're going. What is wrong with this whole organization is nobody can trust anybody else. Ballmer can sign you as a Clipper-For-Life like Blake Griffin then trade you to CAREER DEATH in Detroit 3 months later.

I'm not even going to go into Lou and Trezz and Reggie and anybody else who played their ass off for the Clippers then got dumped with ZERO respect.

So if I'm Kawhi or PG, show me the money. Your word means NOTHING, Mr. Ballmer. Don't tell me this is a team, or a family. This is a BUSINESS and you don't EVER wrap your arm around me and whisper in my ear ever again, Mr. Ballmer.

You will deal my ass at the drop of a hat for thirty pieces of silver just like you dealt Blake Griffin. What, do you think we can't READ?

I was a headhunter. I made a lot of money seeing through organizational hypocrisy. Ballmer has all the money in the world, but I wouldn't trust his gladhanding bullshtt for the time it takes to walk out of the room.

This is the last summer Ballmer can still *somewhat* utilize his wallet, and the final season before Intuit, I don't see him making any sort of rebuilding moves, even if some think he should. That's also not considering the team not having control of its own picks.

The only alternative to the superteam model, which fails more often than it works and is really hard to look at. And The Process [tanking for higher draft picks] doesn't work either--not that the Clippers could even try, since they're all gone.

Title droughts are frustrating but lottery parties every year are even worse. I like Dame a lot and he wants to be there--if I were a Blazers fan I'd be ok with this.

Let's do Harden S&T for PG13, trade Kawhi to NY for picks and hire D'Antoni. At least it'd be more entertaining.

Yeah, I don't see Portland giving up #3 for PG, but if they do, I'd nut.

Think it's more likely we see something like Morris, RoCo, #30, FSRPs for Dinwiddie and Royce O'Neal

Some guys the Clippers talked to at the combine so far.

Jordan Hawkins
Dereck Lively

They will work out Craig Porter Jr. in early June.

They’ll work out Dillion Mitchell next week.

Maybe, maybe not.

I don't think #30 is gonna have quite any value, had we not given up that swap in the Kennard for EJ deal, I'd say yeah, could've done better with #20 instead.

But, it's just gonna come down to whether or not this FO decides to push all in during the last summer where they can aggregate salaries, or if they'll go for a retool on the fly without your picks kind of look.

If we can just get our 24 first back from OKC, we can tank for Wagner or whoever, go into next summer with a crap load of cap and enter Intuit with a hyped prospect.

But, odds are, we will enter Intuit with a hobbled PG and Kawhi, two years older, on expiring deals with Bones and Brandon being our best potential players.

Damn. What if we drafted MPJ over bummy Jerome?
What if we didn't sell out to lose to the Worriers in 6? Could we have drafted Rui (a guy I wanted at the time).

We'll never know.
At least we got Little Mo with the Gimpy Leg and his oft injured tier 3 star.
