Kind of a pattern here. Miller is another senior which points toward high floor/low ceiling. He's a (very) good defender and rebounder for a SG; if he plays in the NBA, it will be as a 2/3. Does not make mistakes with the ball. Seems to know his game and is comfortable with it. Huge wingspan. We'll know pretty soon if his strengths tran'ate at the NBA level. Could ge a TMann type of pick/player.

He had a really good combine, especially the team play.

Miller played five years of college basketball. His first three years were with the George Mason Patriots before playing his final two seasons with the Miami Hurricanes. He earned second-team All-ACC honors with Miami last year.

Miami made the Final Four in 2023, and Miller played a huge role in that. He averaged 15.3 points, 6.2 points, and 2.7 assists across 37 games. The 6-foot-7 wing had a season-high 27 points against the Texas Longhorns in the Elite Eight to propel the Hurricanes to the Final Four.

Strengths
He has a very long frame (6-foot-7) with an athletic profile. He’s a decent shooter that consistently shot 33.3% from distance in college. On top of that, Miller has proven himself as a capable rebounder (6.0 RPG) and a solid defender.

Weaknesses
He played five years of college hoops, making him one of the older players in the draft. There are questions surrounding his upside because of that.

Despite his athletic profile and decent jumper, he was often inconsistent and sometimes passive on offense.

The 4. Marcus must go, Batum needs to get down to around 20 minutes and as for RoCo, your guess is as good as mine. But I have to say, if you look at the plus/minus at any point in the season, he did NOT earn more minutes. There was something Ty didn't like.

Absent finding a better 4, I'd love to start and finish with Batum but there are almost 30 minutes in between that I'd love for other people to fill. Maybe Diabate can get some too.

At this point, with 2 yr/$7M on his contract guaranteed and he's not even a rotation player, the Clips are looking to dump him off. Miller could slide into that role and maybe even grab a rotation slot someday.

I think we will also have to see how things go when free agency starts as more deals will happen then, but also at 48, you're not particularly thinking of how many minutes the guy is going to get as a rookie.

Of course if he surprises and is great, awesome, and you can find time for him or make moves, but you're also thinking of what he can add to your team in year 2 or 3 at which point the rotations won't be exactly the same.

Interesting pick -- definitely with thoughts of fall back in case of injuries or trades on the wing, and with the mindset of older rookie to contribute now (or soon) in that vein.

Sounds like a solid wing on both ends who can be a contributor for awhile and potentially immediately.

Don't mind it at all, just don't know how much he'll play yet; but if he does, should be better suited to on both ends than maybe other picks or Brandon Boston. Not knocking Boston, I'm still intrigued by him and his talent offensively, and defensive potential (length, quickness), but he's obviously more of a guard-wing than a wing-forward like Miller.

Will have to look at him more, as well.
