Mavs last played on Wednesday with a great win against the Lakers. Doncic loves killing the Clippers in the regular season. Clippers coming off a loss against a tough Pelicans team last night. Doesn't seem like a recipe for a Clippers win tonight. Only saving grace is both games were/are in Los Angeles.

Need to somehow limit Zu this game when Luka is in. Luka cooks most people in the league but he shoots like Steph when Zu guards him.

There's one bright side: Doncic has never gotten Kawhi Leonard or Paul George ejected from a game. That's how we'll know if Doncic is truly the Clipper's kryptonite. Besides, he's lost to them twice in the playoffs. All the Clipper's recent playoff wins have featured Mavericks, one of those was the worst 3-1 collapse in NBA history, the second was as a part of the double 2-0 comeback to net Clippers their first conference finals berth.

Imagine this: Clippers draw Mavericks one last time for the "three strikes yer out" ballgame. If they get Mavs in 1st round and defeat them, Clippers may get another deep run, perhaps a Finals appearance. If not that (ie. another conference finals appearance), what are the odds Doncic will want out of Dallas? That rids Clippers of a pesky opponent, increasing their chances at an unscathed playoff run.

Anyway, all of this to say, I would prefer not to make fun of Doncic's regular season success vs. Clippers. What if all our ridicule of him for being so good in the regular season, but not in the playoffs, ends up working against Clippers. Maybe go as far as Clippers to suffer the first ever 3-0 collapse in NBA history, the worst in all of sports. Keep in mind, Clippers have never gotten a 3-0 lead. Having one would be fantastic as it ensures an automatic series win; no team in NBA has ever come back from down 3-0. The more we poke at his foibles, the more it turns into unwanted sports karma. Always show respect to your opponent, even if history sides in your favor.

No Lively for Mavs tonight. He has been huge for them.

It’s wild that Leonard is so often the 3rd or 4th option on this team to start games. Do you know how wild that is?

Harden is not holding the ball. This seems by intention from Ty. Beard and Kawhi are both ball-stoppers, slowing it down to a crawl while they survey the defense. CP3, too, if you remember.

But in today's NBA, that just gives the young athletic guys more time to think, and set up the defense. It's counter-productive.
