Let Kawhi sit this one. Health is more important than anything.

The streak is nice and all, but it's still December. If PG feels good enough to play, then great, it means we might have a shot even without Kawhi, who has to be protected at all costs. It was great watching him play in every game, in fact he logged the most early season minutes of his entire career, but let's not get carried away and have him start playing hurt or other such nonsense. The only thing I want Kawhi to prove is that he's still one of the very best players in the league during the playoffs.

Leave it up to Kawhi. If he wants to play today - let the man play. If he needs to sit it out , let the man sit.
The rest of the team will need to regroup and bring their A game however.

I didn’t see much contact on the replays of the Kawhi injury. He seemed to brush it off.

When Kawhi was grabbing his knee vs Utah in the 2021 playoffs, he said "I'm good" in a post game interview. A month later we learned he had surgery to repair his ACL. I think he said the same thing vs the Suns last year.

I don't think anyone sits out tonight. I think there is a lot at stake right now from a momentum standpoint. How many teams have double digit win streaks each year? 2017-2018 had 11 teams do it, 2018-2019 had 1.
We are tied with Orlando for the longest winning streak of the season. Only 5 teams in history have won 20 or more games in a row in a season. 4 of the 5 made the Finals with 3 winning it. 14 teams had winning streaks of 18 or more and 8 made the Finals with 7 of them winning it.
Right now, the Clippers are in 4th, but that doesn't tell the entire story.
1. We are 1 game back of Denver, but with 2 less games played. We have 1 more game left against them.
2. We are one game back of OKC, but can tie with them tonight. We have 2 games remaining after tonight.
3. We are 3.5 games back of Minny, but we still have 4 games left against them
As of today, the Clips control their own destiny to win the West.

Tonight is gonna be rough, they need a full squad in this game. I didn't see this injury in the highlights either. But if PG cant go, you might as well rest all the big boys because they have to play Boston at noon on Sat. This schedule is brutal..

Not putting too much stock in this one either way. It's a B.S. back-to-back on the road. Just got to get through this one without injury.
I would rather the Clippers focus on starting a new win streak come Saturday afternoon against the Celtics. Tatum might be out for that game.

Tough one for sure, if they win, great, if not, well, no one wins every game, have to lose at some point time.

Given our recent success this is a win-win IMO. We are doing just fine in the standings at this point in the season, win or lose. If Kawhi is fine and wants to play (same goes for PG), great let's do it.
But if they both take the night off, I'm actually looking forward to seeing if/how the rest of the team steps up. It's less about the W or L, and more about how we play. Can James set up our other guys with good scoring opportunities, as well as hopefully chip in 20 or more himself? What can Russ do with say 25-30 minutes tonight? Will Mann be more assertive with Big 2 out?

If our 2 stars don’t play we gotta make this a major trap game for OKC. Would love to see an undermanned Clippers do to the Thunder what many undermanned teams have done to us over the years.

Harden is fully capable of leading a bunch of role players to a regular season victory

I like this. They won’t play if it’s not right for what’s ailing them. A win tonight isn’t mandatory. Pretty sure everyone on this forum is down with seeing what Harden, Zu, Russ, Powell and the rest of our bench can do on a night like this

No Leonard tonight.
If OKC runs away with it then Lue should just sit the main guys and let the youngsters go to work and get their reps in.

Loved SGA when he was here but man, he's become a foul baiting free throws merchant and I hate it
