No easy wins of course. Especially when players are out.

Durant will not play because of a hamstring injury.

Take care of business please.

For the foreseeable future, Plumlee is a DNP-CD and Clippers have fully embraced small ball. Theis is now the permanent backup big to Zubac. Could be a sign that Tucker's role may increase, but it's too early to tell, especially with only three months away to the postseason. We'll see down the line.

Now this quote below and others like it in Justin Russo's thread bother me.

This means that Clipper fans really love players when they give up playing time completely for the greater good. Now Clippers will feel pressured to win a chip for players like him. Westbrook gave up being a superstar and became a role player, same ordeal.

If I see one more player do the same in terms of sacrifice, then the Clippers will not be making any more moves for the rest of the season. No buyouts, no trades, no 10-days, nothing. This will be the roster for the playoffs. And I'm fine with that, just because Clippers have a True Big 3 now in Harden-Leonard-George, or as I like to call them, the 1-213 era.

Honorable by Plumlee - I kind of thought he'd stay behind Theis, at least normally.

I think he'll still be seen against bigger teams like Minny, Denver, Lakers

Very classy team-first move by Plumlee.

Plumlee should eventually get a look as 2nd-team center with Theis at PF. Only 6 Clippers have a plus/minus above zero over the last 10 games.* There is still tinkering to be done.

_________
*KL, PG, Zu, Beard, Powell, Russ

Honorable of Plumlee but I still want to see him out there on the floor too. I like his passing ability at the center position. I wouldn't mind seeing the Clippers try some bigger line-ups to see if there is something there. Maybe they can give that a look during some garbage time moments.

Honorable or a sign that he still doesn't feel completely comfortable with the knee?

The guy is only signed through this year. Plus, he has been hurt. He will want to get back on the court, but he knows we aren't desperate for his presence, so he can take time to work himself in.

He went down in the 1st game with Harden, so he has no chemistry with Harden yet. Mason will take the time now to get back into game shape and will work with Harden on the side. Then, when he feels that he can contribute effectively, he will go to Ty and let him know he is ready for an increased role.

With Plumlee back, we should NEVER see long stretches of small ball.

yeah i still think they need to play him: he can be a decent matchup weapon for us and when theis isn't doing anything good and getting too fouly, it feels kinda rough (which is a bit too often for my liking but that's why he's a backup!). i mean it wasn't all that long ago that we traded for plumlee and all of a sudden he was that solid nightly presence we'd been both missing and praying for all season long.

Right, they have overlapping but definitely not duplicate skill sets anyway. Both players are needed for sure.

These rotations are still experimental. Seems Ty is trying to run 3 guards and it doesn’t work well

It's the Suns in Phoenix, so we just need to put someone in a Luka mask and they will fold.
