This win is crucial. Why? It can save their season. From Justin Russo:

I thought Clipper's destiny for a no. 1 seed was all gone after so many season series defeats to Pelicans, Timberwolves and Lakers. But thanks to this revelation, Clippers have one last chance to get no. 1 seed and reverse their Ultimatum Checklist failure. For that to happen, they have to be perfect; they cannot lose a single game for the rest of the season. In addition, they'll need to dominate: every single win must be a double-digit victory without a single play-from-behind situation, which they always do because it better serves their sense of urgency and enhances drama, intrigue and attention A.K.A. "Clippers just want to be loved," their franchise's fatal flaw.

The other part will be shaking out of their matinee doldrums. They're just not sharp in the morning, home or road; even Leonard realizes this. But if they want that no. 1 seed, a thing that could perhaps keep Harden, Westbrook and George away from the likes of the 76ers, Pacers, Heat and every other team who seethes at the thought of the Clippers put through a force rebuild, they're gonna have to suck it up and deal with the morning games, find whatever resolve they can muster to defeat Cavaliers...

Without defeating themselves.

Cavs looked so uninspiring yesterday against Lakers. But I gotta tip my hat to AD for that performance.

Exactly the kind of game we end up losing. Not feeling too good about this game at all.

Outside that 2 month stretch (but it was a great stretch), I think this is our trained instinctive reaction from the last two seasons. But this is a tough B2B matinee for the Cavs.

If James is active (10 or more FG), I will pick our team today to win.

Don Mitchell is out.

Harden is questionable.

Those three teams aren't all collapsing to end the season.

52 wins (3 more) keeps Dallas at bay as that is their max
If Dallas loses, that number gets smaller.

Clippers are also in position to play spoiler or helper for Phoenix with that back to back two game series. Then surging Lakers have a chance to secure 6th and a definite playoff spot.

With Mitchell out, I am gonna call a Clipper win regardless of James. Being a little spicy today

First game watched in 2 weeks. The Clippers still suck. Low energy again. Harden/Westbrook combo is about as hard to watch of basketball

What's our record in matinee game this season? 1-13? This one is a loss. At least the Mavs are getting blown out too.

Probably if we can’t play defense here, we can’t do it against any healthy good team…

PJ Tucker is trash. Its a joke that he is getting any mins. Getting a tech is laughable.

The best thing for this team will be getting swept by Dallas so it gives them a reason to fire the GM/Lue combo.

It's because our fraud coach buckled into PJ's demands.

We're getting beat in our house by a team playing without their superstar. Can we just flame out in the first round and dismantle everything and start from scratch?

Embarrassing. I know the Clippers suck at these afternoon games but this is the second of a B2B of afternoon games for the Cavs. And the Cavs have been playing mediocre basketball. No excuse for this loss.

It wouldn't surprise me if Dallas ended up taking the fourth spot and homecourt from the Clippers. Dallas is also arguably the second-best team in basketball right now, behind the Celtics.

PG playing great but just too many hero ball moments during a comeback. Then arguing with the ref while getting back on defense giving up an easy layup. He just doesnt get it.
