Way overdue thread. Love them or hate them, we all still talk about them. Once a Clipper, always a Clipper.
Trezz is headed to Australia. As a late-season injury replacement. Remember: It's winter down there.

NBL is currently in its pre-season tournament (NBL Blitz).
The deal is apparently not guaranteed for the full season - but that is likely to give Trez an opt out to return to the NBA if he receives interest by late January - a common clause for NBL “import” players on one year deals.

Also, it’s Spring down here! Our seasons align to the start/end of the months, rather than the solstices

The 26th overall pick in 2018, Landry Shamet now on his 5th team. Never better than with the Clips.
Landry Shamet, Knicks Agree To One-Year Contract
Sep 14, 2024 10:20 AM
The New York Knicks have agreed to a one-year contract with guard Landry Shamet. New York had one open standard roster spot heading into training camp.
Shamet spent last season with the Washington Wizards and averaged 7.1 points in 15.8 minutes per game for the Wizards.
The 6-foot-4 shooting guard has played for the Philadelphia 76ers, LA Clippers, Brooklyn Nets and Phoenix Suns, in addition to the Wizards.

Lol, Shamet.
His most efficient NBA season was his rookie season with Philly and LAC, just nothing more since then.
The idea of him is always better than the reality. He can shoot, seems like he can handle, seems like he can maybe defend, but in reality, handle isn't good enough to create much, defense is okay at best and his shooting isn't good enough in the post season to keep him on too much.
If he was like 6'6 or 6'7 with the same skillset it would make him more valuable as he now becomes wing sized, more useful on defense and is a wing who can handle a little, pass a little, shoot and score off movement.
Ah well, life isn't fair. At least he's still hanging around.

I think he even had the nickname "Shamgod" at one point. All the stats about gravity...
I was really excited about him going into his second season, but he got covid or injured or something, and his game never recovered since.

I think every time I’ve streamed Shamet on the last day of a match up, he’s gone 0/4 from 3p.

That's actually interesting that Reggie is joining PG in Phila. Not surprising I guess...

Montrez signs on for the full season with Adelaide, though I suspect the contract likely still retains the NBA opt out clause, as unlikely as that may be at this stage of his career.

no recreational use here!
Possession is decriminalised in some state/territories to different levels, otherwise it is easily available for medicinal use on prescription.
The issue with that, however, is Australian roadside drug testing does not factor whether driving is inhibited, it is reliant on presence in the drivers system.

Maybe this time he won't be dumb enough to ride around with 3 pounds of it in his back seat. I'm surprised they let him into the country.
