GSW favored by 9.5 in our first road b2b

Image

they still mock Doc in Philly for calling these things a "scheduled loss" but here one is

Ty played Zu 39 minutes and Beard 38 to get our fantastic win over the Nugs in their home opener and now we have to jump on the plane for this

OK---BRING IT ON!!

Granted the starts played limited minutes in pre season, it took a buzzer beater three pointer for the Warriors to win.

Ty might have to manage minutes today for Harden.

Young guns will have to step up tonight. Lock down on defense and let it fly.

59-54 at the half. DJJ leads the scoring, Zu with a double double already. Everybody chipping in except Mann, having another invisible game again. Powell 1-5.

Good effort, winning the rebounds and TOs again.

Ouch that looked unpleasant, but rolling the ankle when not stepping on anyone's foot is usually a lot better as one who has had many different ankle injuries (non recently though, phew!).

Norman heats up--6-8 in the 3rd, Clips extend their lead 86-79.

Mann [minus-10] yanked again for Dunn [plus+13]. Dunn only has 2 points but is running the point and has 6 rebs, 2 assists and 3 steals. He knows how to play this game.

Great answer after the Warriors cut it to 1

I expected myself to really like Dunn, and so far, I do

This team is looking real good. Just have to get Jordan Miller in the lineup and hopefully trade Kawhi for anyone who can actually play games and we've got a nice formula here. It sure beats watching PG's stupid turnovers and the retirement home squad.

Zu had two killer swoops to the basket that sealed the deal.

While Mann has mysteriously disappeared, Zu is letting the game come to him and looks fresh as a daisy even playing 38 minutes for the second night in a row.

Two quality wins in a tough division. Weakest link is backup guard. KPJ is terrible. Also backup big. Other than that Dunn is great. Jones jr and Coffey are solid defenders. Batum is a respectable vet. Powell is unleashed from the shadows of PG. Harden is poised to prove the perpetual naysayers wrong again. Terrible shame Kawhi is damaged goods. I think this would be a better team for him honestly if KPJ is swapped out and a solid backup big could be added.

KPJ was +16 in 17 minutes, second best on the team. He's not hurting us out there so let's find out what's he's got. He's younger than Jordan Miller, believe it or not.

Dunn, KPJ, and DJJ are all veterans who know how to play this damn game and that's how they plugged in so quickly and successfully.

he is such an upgrade over Westbrook. I appreciated Westbrook's hustle, but Dunn hustles in a controlled manner and knows his role. Westbrook struggles as a role player because he was a superstar earlier in his career.

Dunn with the sneaky-good numbers again, all the stuff that Mann presumably does:

6 points
9rebs
4 asst
4 stl
team-best plus+20

You don't really want to start him instead of Mann or Coffey alongside Powell because they're both only 6-2 or 6-3, but he'll get his minutes [28 tonight]. It's not like he's en fuego or anything, he's just playing right. Hey, he's 30 years old, no kid. Just do your job.

The additions of Dunn and DJJ have fantastic! Zu and Norm emerging from the shadows of PG has also been a revelation. Harden is ballin' but I'm worried Lue is going to run him into the ground. KPJ is slowly starting to come around. He finally had some positives tonight. If he can find his offensive again this team could be scary. Batum and Coffey were solid, however I think its time for Mann to come off the bench. We know he starts off slow, but that only works when PG and Kawhi were on the floor. Its too glaring of an issue without all stars on the floor with him. Jordan Miller's minutes will come. Kai will get more time as well. Big f*ckin' Zu Man!!

Zu looks absolutely in great shape. Happy to see him shed that baby fat. It was easy for him to keep it and still have a long career like Marc Gasol, Nurkic, Sabonis, Jokic etc type. But looks like he chosen to be in the mold of Vuc, Gortat, S.Adams type of no baby fat, lean muscular type specimen. He moves faster and it shows his endurance, cardio got better. MIP type year is coming.

Mann on the other hand looks like a Kid favorite toy got taken of him. Dunn and Djj is better at what he does best(bringing energy, perimeter D) and don't know what to do with rest of the game. Benching him for Coffey and eventually return of Kawhi looks imminent.
