Clippers defense better than ever, says Terance MannThrough three games this season, the LA Clippers have boasted a defensive rating of 103.2 points per 100 possessions. According to NBA Stats, that’s the third best defensive rating in the league behind the 3-0 Oklahoma City Thunder at 90.8 points per 100 and the Golden State Warriors — who played the Utah Jazz and Portland Trail Blazers before losing to the Clippers — at 95.9 points per 100.
“I think it’s the best defensive team I’ve ever been on in my life,” Terance Mann said at a recent Clippers practice. “I’m excited for that. I just think everybody’s ability to guard the ball one-on-one, to scrap, help, people’s knack for stealing the ball, getting their hands in there, deflections. It’s easily top two, probably one defensive team I’ve ever been on.”

0/2 from Zubac, twice 1/2 from Harden. 4 miss ft in the last 4 minutes or so and that abysmal last play. Such an unclutch performance from Harden and Zu.
Its to bad we waste another great Powell game.

Nothing on the stat sheet is particularly egregious. We won rebs and TOs were 13-12. FG% about the same. We missed a few too many FTs.
Zu only had 6 points--expecting him to become a 20-pt scorer was a fantasy. He still had 12 rebs and 2 blocks. Mann was neither good nor bad--4 pts, 4 rebs, 3 assists, plus+4.
Except for Powell's 30 pts, nobody was particularly good or bad. Bench was 16-26, which is good. B2b tomorrow with the Suns.
