This is probably not gonna be pretty for us. Lu Dort is Harden's worst nightmare.

I don't think their minutes are bad at all, Zubac is the only one who this is new for.
Harden is at 36.2 mpg, 18th in the NBA, and outside of last season as a Clipper with Russ as his backup, he has been at 36-38 mpg through all his 30's.
Powell is 50th in mpg, he wanted to be a starter, so he definitely wants this, and it's what he did with Portland when he was a starter, 33-34 mpg, no bi deal.
Zubac at 35 mpg is the one that is surprising, that's going to be on the coaching staff monitoring if he can be productive at those minutes over a long period, if he can, then 34-35 mpg is fine as long as production doesn't suffer. Don't know if you want too many minutes of Jones, he's one of those guys where the more they stay on the court, they can lose their effectiveness.
KPJ can score, but so far at 72 Ortg and 37.2% TS, he's not much help at all, and actually hurting even if his +/- is good, it means those lineups could be even better. Anyone can chuck up shots at 37% TS. Mann at 92 Ortg and 37.5% 3PT is giving you the great old low volume and low efficiency that no one wants. Now, he should normalize, and that will help the offense much more than it seems, because these things are on the margins. KPJ should also normalize, but Dunn won't shoot 61/55 for the season, so that normalizing will take away some of the benefit of the increase from the other two. Jones also won't shoot 50% 3PT for the year, so there's some balance in there where some guys will get better, but some will go down.
This team will still be around an average/below average offense (without Kawhi), currently 21st in Ortg (only 5 game sample of course) unless Harden is able to be closer to the higher efficiency regular season guy he's been in the past with the higher volume.

The Clips have been fading in the second half so with Harden at age 35 and Powell not playing starter's minutes since age 28 [he's 31 now], there's cause for concern. And of course, he's been a 20/12 beast, but just last January, Zu was shot playing just 29 mpg.
This is all undiscovered country. And yes, Kai isn't ready. Worst plus-minus on the team. Definitely cause for concern.

Faded again. Beard had 12 points, Zu had 9 and DJJ had TWO.
Started the 4th quarter down by 3 and were down by 16 when Ty raised the red flag with 4+ minutes still left. Clippers scored SIX POINTS in the first 7:47 of the 4th and that was all she wrote. Norman had a heroic 24 again but WE NEED POINTS!

2021: "Even if I miss all of next year, there's nobody I love not playing with more than PG-13. Sure, I'll re-sign!"
2024: "Oh, it's OK. I'll re-sign whether PG-13 stays or goes. I'll be happy to not play with Beard or whoever. It doesn't matter much anymore who I don't play with. My heart is here, not playing for Steve Ballmer and the LA Clippers!"

This is your year 6th in the league, you got 47 million extension and this happens. humiliating asf.
I remember a game last season when we host Dallas without Lively. Gafford trade hasn't happened yet so Dallas put Grant Williams to Center. DJJ at PF. T-Mann played one of his best game against weak rim protection. He also played good against Warriors too where rim protection lacks. I just baffled this game when Chet goes to bench and Mann didn't aggresively attack to the rim.
We need T-mann play better than last season but so far he couldn't even get to the last year' level. Such a disappointment he has become so far.

Knew this was a loss..
While I don't buy OKC as legit contenders (not sold on Chet and Jalen Williams as top-level playoff performers to support SGA), they are a special team right now and really good on both ends.
Maybe Mo Bamba when back - will help things out with Zubac and being able to rest more during games.
Time to give Jordan Miller some minutes next week.

Clippers are now 0-4 at the Ballmerdome and 2-4 overall. Yikes!
Can fans wear a paper bag over their head in the "wall" section? Because this season is starting to look disastrous.

It was a good loss. Close game until the 4th, I expected a 30pt blowout. OKC is easily the #1 seed in the west again this year.

SGA sure has turned into a star player- great footwork and midrange game.
However, it is irritating to see how he works the refs- he gets the calls that harden used to get in his prime. There were 2 in this game in particular that were egregious. Refs need to actually look at what is happening rather than what they expect to happen
