GAME #10: TOR (2-7) @ LAC (5-4)—SAT 11/9, 7:30 PM, NBA-TV
Back home for one game after a GREAT road win in SAC, then off on a 3-game road trip to Oklahoma and Texas and then the IN-SEASON TOURNAMENT and I don't give af what happens next and neither do the players. They play 'em as they come.
Very proud of our boys so far. Playing with no expectations is fun for the players and fans alike. PG is already back in expectations hell. Well, at least he's getting PAID. But WE don't give a $ht about that either.

Interesting that the Toronto game will be the end of Ty's 10 game sample size.
Is KPJ starting to click just in time? I feel Mann because of his slow starts deserves another 12 games to sort his s**t out. He has enough credit in the bank for another stretch.

Be a good game for Mann and KPJ to shine a bit
Should be a win off the last two, and coming back home against the Raps..

KPJ definitely look better game by game. Can't say the same for T-Mann.
Raptors plays overphysical and need our mistakes(lack of effort) to make a play. So far we made quite a lot.(see DJJ with 3 quick empty fouls)

All the %ages in the Clippers favor but only up by 5 at the half
should be 10
T-Mann, I just can't even
12 min 0-2, 2 reb, minus-2, 0 points
KPJ 12 min 9 points 4 reb 3 asst plus+5
not saying Mann shouldn't start and KPJ should
just sayin...

I can't take this team seriously when %85+ ft shooters keep missing in the clutch time. 3/6 again from Harden and Powell.
Again lots of brain fart moments to let raptors get in the game. So frustrating to watch this team in clutch times.

Wow, a win is a win but that 4th quarter was ugly. Turnovers, missed free throws, no ball movement, bad shot selection...
Looking at the stats, I don't even understand how it's mathematically possible that the Raptors attempted 19 more field goals, with teams stats being almost even in rebounds, steals, and turnovers.
KPJ has been trending upwards lately and this was probably his best game of the season. He looked pretty confident, hope he continues to improve because he did a little bit of everything tonight.
Next game at OKC will definitely be tough.

in fairness, they were totally out of gas at the end of the game. I agree, though- you have to knock down your clutch free throws

Beard 34 min
Powell 35 min
Zubac 38 min
On a b2b. This can't go on. Bamba getting closer but he was 3rd string for Philly last year.
Still, all credit to the boyz.

So, is T-Mann a linchpin in JVG's Belichick style takeaway-your-best-scorer defense, or would Coffey be as good and bring more offense?
Good problem to have, or did we totally whiff holding onto and extending TMann instead of dealing him when he had buzz?

I didn't understand closing with Mann over Coffey last night at all. Mann even didn't his patented pass up an open three move in the final minutes of the game on top of it all. But we won, a win is a win. Do we punt Monday's game against OKC and rest Harden for the games against the Rockets which we desperately need to keep our draft pick status or does Lue play him 35+ minutes in trying to get an upset win at OKC?

I'm even more worried about Zubac. 37 minutes against the Kings and 38 against the Raptors b2b. By mid-January last year, he was beat to hell with a lighter workload than this.

As for Mann over Coffey last night, Mann played 29 minutes [4 points, minus-4] and Coffey played 23 minutes [6 points, plus+8]. Not huge, and Coach must have liked Mann on Quickley. [I'm still laughing at how the Mann-stans on Twitter are acting like Mann won us the game for 2 good defensive plays. Brian Sieman excitedly called one of them a block, but Mann never touched the ball.]

Mann's job is to attack the ball. His man almost always gets around him, but it does take valuable seconds off the 24-second clock.
But could some other guy do the same thing? Most probably, yes. And he's giving us nothing in any other area. Can't play the point and won't shoot unless it's a total gimme. Yes, the shooting percentages will come around, but still at low volume. I don't think there's anybody on the roster who would do better, so I'm not calling for his head. But he's still closer to his ceiling than his floor, and except for the scrubs, his plus/minus remains the worst on the team.

maybe Batum should see more time at small ball center or perhaps give Cousins a call to see if he has anything left in the tank?
