Underdogs again--Rockets by 4.5

NB: NOT part of the In-season Tournament

Clips are on one of those new COVID-era weird home + home scheduling things
Play the Rockets tonight then the In-Season Tournament starts on Friday against these same Rockets in Houston

A KPJ show-out game would hit the spot right about now... (and would make the wire service's game summary writer's job all the easier.)

This is a playoff series. The fight to keep your first round pick from OKC series!

And we are down 1-0 right now, we gotta at least split the two.

(not that a million things won't happen between now and end of season, but this is the big race for me LOL)

Norm was due for a bad game after his hot start. I just wish Zu and Harden didn't have to play bad as well. Dunn starting was a good look, but we see that Mann is much much better in a run-n-gun uptempo play-style than the slowed down Harden/Zu pick-n-roll system. The youngsters almost pulled this one out. Miller is a much better fit and player then KPJ. Gotta see how Lue is going to play this one, as KPJ's minutes should go to Miller. Kobe showed some moxy but he still can't shoot. Bones is still suspect. Mann, Coffey, and Miller could be something on the 2nd unit.

Bout time! And they almost pulled it off. Glad Lue didn't sub any of them when the game got closer.

Houston has to be one of the most athletic teams in the league- they basically ran the Clippers off the court.

Its a good move. Nowhere in the league where a starting two guard isn't a threat to score. Not saying you have to be a star player, but not facing the basket much less not looking for your shot is a no no for a starting guard. That being said, he looked 10x better in a run-n-gun up tempo line up with with Coffey and Miller as opposed to the slow it down to a crawl, dribble the ball out, Harden/Zu pick-n-roll offense. Dunn is much better suited for that.

Harden started out good but once they got into him, he looked washed. Like his handles, his ability to get by people and shot making. Hes starting to look old and doesnt have the legs. I think we are in trouble without a second lead guard. None of our other PGs are good enough to be the primary facilitator unless we change our offense to more spread and constant movement. Harden stops moving when he doesnt have the ball and wasnt really a threat in the second half.
