GAME #34: LAC (19-14) @ OKIES (27-5) THURS 1/2—5PM

3rd game in 4 days ON THE ROAD--after a b2b with 2 games in 2 different cities in less than 24 hours. I'm not even going to do a preview.
People laugh at Doc Rivers calling these things a "schedule loss" [or a scheduled loss, I was never sure] but this is one. After sending out my starters for the opening tip to keep Commissioner Nosferatu happy, I'd call up Trentyn Flowers from G League and put him at point guard. What a joke.

Moral victory if we lose by less than 30.

Be an interesting game.. will be fine with a competitive loss, just don't get killed. Make a solid showing. Compete.
May face these pups in the POs.

No Harden and a SGA masterclass game incoming. I'd give Cam Christie a look in this one if he made the trip.

Moral victory if we can just stay close and avoid any injury. I was wondering when Harden would get pulled for rest.

Ball is moving around a bit faster with Harden sitting out.

Mo Bamba break out game : )
KPJ stepping up
Every player played with 1 assist (other than Bamba).
One heck of a good half here.. I think they're zoned in after that Spurs loss + Harden not playing.
Would be a very nice win to get and add to the collection.

Powell has been absolute trash tonight. He proved hes not an all star tonight.

Powell missing Harden + OKC defense zoning in on him.. think OKC has woke up and realized they're playing an NBA team.

No way the Clippers winning today, schedule or otherwise. OKC starting to look like unwinnable games as they are a superior team. The Shai trade just feels like getting kicked in the nards over and over. That being said, I would love to see LAL get a schedule like this. Nope, the NBA makes sure they play as few B2Bs as possible and their difficult opponents must play LAL on the second night of their own B2B (like CLE).

the schedule is very weird for the Clippers this season- so many games bunched together followed by a lot of time off followed by more games bunched together.
OKC has definitely formed a very solid young core and it is very aggravating knowing that the Clippers could've had SGA. Maybe they can entice him to come back in free agency.
I don't think OKC will make it to the finals this season though as they are vulnerable when things slow down and they still lack experience. If Dallas is healthy, I favor them. Minnesota might give them trouble too, Jokic would be a handful for them as well. The Lakers would probably play out of their minds and get every call against them- magically SGA's personal whistle would disappear.

I think Clips have a legit fighting chance if Kawhi is healthy and can stay on the floor through the postseason. They obviously still need to shore up a few spots thru trade between now and deadline namely upgrading KPJ and Bamba. Call it a gut feeling..we shall see. Hopefully this OKC team isn't seasoned enough once we hit the playoffs and teams start playing a bit more slow half court ball.
