Memphis and Lakers both lose drawing them within 2 of us in the loss column. They play each other next, so we will be right on their heels. Ideal scenario is Griz beat Lakers and then lose to Boston. Put them both only one loss up (2 for Lakers since they own the tie breaker). Would love to sneak up and pass the Lakers and get the Pacific Division win.

Can't screw around with the Nets though. We need to be all locked in all the time.

I mean, it's not even close. I'm not down on Amir. He's played 1700 minutes, a career high and 3rd-most on the Clippers. Maybe he's out of gas. But now that we're finally at full strength, somebody has to sit, and it's clearly you.

I don't get the tweet. Is there a report of Coffey crying or complaining about having to sit?

I don't understand what you don't get. I'm saying it's a shame. He's given his all this year as a backup and a TON of passable NBA minutes we sorely needed.

But somebody has to sit and the team's rise in the OFF/DEF ratings corresponds with Amir losing minutes to Simmons and others getting healthy. His minus-5.3 per 100 possessions since the ASB is pretty much unplayable especially since nobody else is below Norman Powell's plus+0.7. Simmons is plus+6.6. That's a 12-point swing from Amir's minus-5.3. HUGE.

We already have a 9 to 10-man rotation and he's #11. Remember Willie Green? Started 60 games for us one year but barely sniffed the playoffs. Frankly, there has been a lot of shade thrown Amir's way by the internet Clipper commentariat. A lot of people should be happy.

Yeah, Kawhi is dialed in. You can always tell when he is because it looks extremely easy for him out there when he's playoff ready.

Kawhi not even breaking a sweat out there. Dominating on both ends. Already 25 points at the end of the half.

I feel like I'm watching someone play a video game on easy mode. Nets keep bricking 3s while Clips keep making them. Big Zu also doing whatever he wants on the inside, shooting 8 for 8.

This team is looking serious going into the playoffs, not of course this isn't based on beating up the crappy Nets, but the whole little while, really nice, and hopefully the maintain staying out of the play-in

I get it, but the tweet you made, Tom Van Dyke, made it seem like Coffey was bitching and complaining about having to sit, when I saw no reports of this. Yes, he hasn't been good at all and definitely needs to sit, but from all accounts there was no push back from him by having to get a DNP. Your tweet made it seem like he went off and pulled a Russell Westbrook and raised hell in the locker room because he didn't play. That's my point.

Very solid, controlling win

This team is looking like one of the best teams in the league.

Everyone chipping in and buying in.. no issues.

Who's next? The Clevelands.

I'm praying you didn't jinx us with that statement. 8-)

Among the 'Group of 5', Lakers have the toughest SOS, Minnesota the easiest. But there's no real outliers in the group, Lakers play OKC twice who have a lot less to play for other than keeping pace over Cleveland.

Haha I don't think so

Mainly feeling that way because of the 12 game stretch (10-2) and it coincides with Kawhi's rounding into form. Kawhi is elite and top 5-8 player when he's right.

And the bench kind of isn't an issue anymore, there's more commodity, uniqueness and impact on a more regular basis. DJJ plays fine starting or bench, so does Dunn, Batum, and even Bogdanovic more recently. Coffey is capable of stepping in to be serviceable most nights.

Geared up for teams like Memphis and Denver with suspect benches, and are top-heavy. Clips are pretty heavy in routine capability on the whole main rotation range.

I think fully capable of beating Cleveland tomorrow, but will be tough of course. Are they gonna be able to contain collectively enough Kawhi, Harden, and then Zubac and Powell playing off them? Going to be tough for them too. Getting blown out would be unfortunate.

Cavs are still flawed enough to me offensive talent-wise because their most dynamic talent is all at the small perimeter area. Mitchell is great but undersized for SG length-wise (and he's not as big as Wade overall, or the athlete Wade was), Garland is very good PG but also small, and then after that, the next best legit talent offensively is Mobley who is just starting to show he's reliable offensively this season in his 4th year. To me with Cavs current make up, Mobley needs to be hitting over 20PPG for them to really get past a healthy Boston or OKC for example. He needs to be the 1B or 2nd guy after Mitchell.

So you're agreeing with my point but you're still nattering at me about something I didn't even say. C'mon Mr. C, gimme a break here and stick to the sports.
