Well, this is the one Kawhi rested his knee for.
Clippers have sunk to 8th, but are a comfortable 6 games in the loss column ahead of the #9 Mavs [37-38]
and 1 game behind #6 GSW, tied in the loss column with #7 MINN
Clips have clinched the tiebreakers with GSW [3-0 with one to play] and MINN [2-0 with zero more to play]

We actually lost the season series to Minnesota 0-3. So, we have to be ahead of them in the loss column.
As long as the win tonight, sitting Kawhi yesterday over today is a better option. If they play Kawhi yesterday and lose and then sit him today and lose, then they go home with a 2-2 road trip. They are backing on winning today and going 3-4 on the road trip.
I don't like giving up games when things are so tight in the loss column, but we have to believe they are looking at remaining schedules.
Memphis has Boston tonight and GS tomorrow. They lose both and we are above them in the standings. If GS loses, then we are above GS in the standings. GS has Lakers after Memphis, then Denver and Houston.
Minnesota starts a 5 game road trip tomorrow in Denver and ends it in Memphis. So, Min losing one game puts them below us in the standings. The Min-Memphis games works to our advantage.
We have a 5 game homestand coming up and end the season in GS. So, I see no real way we end up below GS in the standings. So, we just need to go out and win and let the other fall below us in the standings naturally. We should end up #5 seed.

WARNING: I asked ChapGPT. The AI bot. I even asked this question TWICE. It's GARBAGE. I asked it for a quote from a certain philosopher last week on a certain subject and it gave me FIVE juicy quotes, and even what books they came from.
ChatGPT MADE THEM ALL UP.
My apologies to the board; I pride myself on good info. And thanks to CL for the correction. I'm taking ChatGPT off my bookmarks. This is a scandal.

Just depends on which reality you want to believe. We train it well enough and future generations can believe the Clippers have won more NBA Titles than any franchise in history.

Paolo got to the line 7 times already.
Tough 1stQ, need to pick it up like the Knicks and Nets game.

Looks like a good response.. defensively at least : )
Gonna be a 80s/90s game total score wise .. don't mind it.

Never seen Leonard and Harden play so poorly like this together. Yikes.
Nothing from the bench either.
Lucky not to be down 20.

The whole team outside of Zu look discombobulated.

Zu acting like a boardman with a near 20/20 game. Solid Kawhi, team is gelling nicely and forming their identity on the defensive end. Really liking what I'm seeing lately, had Kawhi played yesterday we might have swept this whole thing! But I understand we gotta protect those knees.

These are the types of games that prepare you for the grindfest and physicality of the playoffs. Didn't shoot well at all and still made the plays when it mattered. And Orlando is one of the top defensive teams in the league. Great win

Solid ending, seems they have that switch defensively. Next 5 games are at home. Got through the toughest stretch there with 2 losses that were very close. Need a Warriors loss which is very likely. They have the toughest stretch and we control our destiny with a final game with them. Grizzlies and Timberwolves also play each other and face the Nuggets. We just have to win out, toughest game will be Rockets in between which at least is at home. Winning that game could make life on the road for the final two much easier.

At the end of tonight, here are the scenarios:
Best Case: We are 6th spot with GS in 5 and Memphis 7 and Minny 8. We control our own fate.
Memphis and Minny play each other next week, so one falls another loss back.
Good Case: We are 6th spot with Memphis in 5 and GS 7 and Minny 8. Need Memphis to lose again
Worst Case: Minny is 6th and we are 7 with Memphis/GS in 8
