Who is going to guard Dirk?

I'll be out tonight, so I can't watch the game. I hope this game thread can give me the good info so I can read it tomorrow.

Come on, Clipps.

Dirk will probably be guarded by Mobley as he's had success on him in the past. Josh Howard will be out of tonight's game due to personal reasons.

This is my first Clippers game I'm going to this season. The Clippers have been able to give the Mavs, or should I say that My-Little-Pony team, some trouble. I hope that the game is entertaining and it should be fun.

Let's go Clippers!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

Congrats on finally getting to a game, #2. Like MK said, Cat will probably spend most of the time on Dirk and Q may grab a few minutes on him as well. Hopefully the Orlando game was the final straw for the guys and they pull it together tonight.

Thomas will be getting the start tonight instead of Al. Terry will replace Howard in the starting lineup. Diaz is officially on the active roster and will get his NBA debut tonight.

Eddie Jones backhanded Q-Ross and he is down. It looks like he may have gotten hit in the eye and they'll have to put his contact back in.

Dallas leads 3-2 after 2:17 into the game.

CD, so far Thomas is guarding Dirk. Mobley is on Harris.

Kaman is off to a good start with 6 of the Clippers 10.

Cassell hits the 12-foot jumper. Clippers have made their last 7 FGs. Maggette goes to the line and knocks down both free-throws. Clippers up 18-14.

Tim Thomas  He bricks a 3 catches his own rebound and drives to the hoop and hammers it down with authority. Clippers up 6.

Clippers are playing well. They're getting good looks and moving the ball. We were 8 until Kaman fouled Dirk while shooting, sending him to the line to shoot 2. He makes them both.

We have got to stick on Terry. He's hot from deep early.

Al takes Thornton out of the game (after just inserting him) and replaces him with Timmy who hits a 14 footer to close out the quarter. Al will be back at the start of the second.

29-21 Clippers after one quarter of basketball. We're playing really good. Good ball movement, we're active on defense and we're hitting our shots. We're shooting just under 71% and have a 4:1 A/T ratio. Maggette (11pts) & Thomas (10pts) lead the way for the Clippers. Keep it up Clips!

Damn. Kaman blocks Bass then fouls Dampier who gets the basket. He has only has 2 fouls and will head to the bench. Dampier makes the free-throw. Clippers lead 31-24.

Josh Powell enters the game for Kaman and 20 seconds later hits a 12-foot jumper. :D

75% shooting for the Clippers who boast a 9 point lead. Traveling on Powell followed by a jumper in the paint by Bass.

Powell has a nice look go in and out. Bass makes a 14-foot jumper and the lead is down to 5. Mobley knocks down a 20-footer with Jones in his face. Lead back up to 7.

Thomas with a turnaround jumper as the shot clock expires. Bass is getting it done for the Mavericks.
