TV/Radio: KTLA/ 710 ESPN
Season Series: Hornets lead 1-0

The Lowdown
The Clippers in a week span when 2-1 at home with 2 of those wins against the Nets and the Kings on Wednesday night. The Clippers last win against the Kings was the best victory this season by the Clippers. Rookie Al Thornton went off like like Stone Cold and scored 23pts and 9rebs to lead the way for the Clippers. Chris Kaman and Corey Maggette both combined for 41 of the Clippers points and Kaman grabbed 21rebs to boot. If that ain't the Clips best performance. I don't know what is. They do need to keep it up though. Especially against the New Orleans Hornets tonight. The Hornets are winners of the last 6 games and are leading the Southwest Division with a fierce purpose. What drives this team? It's Chris Paul a.k.a. "CP3". This guy is the engine that drives the Hornets. Like one of Rihanna's tracks, " Shut Up and Drive". That what's CP3 been doing best. From leading the Hornets 21.2PPG and 10.5 dimes and 2.7 SPG. This guy's dedication and confidence is what keeps the Hornets going and going like the Energizer Bunny. So how would an opponent put the breaks on CP3's play? Let's find out.
Clippers Manifesto
1. Make sure CP3 makes camp on the perimeter. In other words, keep him from slashing to the inside. Ross need to be on CP3 and play smart D.
2. Kaman vs. Chandler: Whoever outrebounds the other will determine which team wins the game.
3. Contain smart and hard defense on the following: West, Pargo, Butler, Peja. Don't allow them to get off to a good start for the Hornets.
4. Make good shots if you're the Clippers.

We won't be able to handle Chris Paul, so we gotta limit their possessions by rebounding the ball and keep from turning it over. We gotta keep West under control and keep Peja off the 3-point line.
But even if we do all that, we won't win unless we make shots. I'd say we'd have to shoot 50% or close to it.

It would be good if the Clips shoot around 50% or more against this Hornets team.

Which Clipper team shows up tonight? Rebounding is a must. We need ball movement & good shot selection on offense and solid team defense. We have to do our best to try to shut down Peja on the perimeter. I think in the last meeting he missed his first five then knocks down 3 in a row in probably a minute and a half of play. If we can limit Paul and/or West in any kind of way that's a positive.
As far as Rihanna goes, I'd like to stand under her umbrella

Lol funny story about this...I was gonna comment on it when SD mentioned her, but now that you did too MK, I can't pass it up. Our boy Shaunie Livingston dated that goat for a few months while she was simultaneously seeing Josh Hartnett and Shia LeBouf. I just thought it was kinda funny.

Let's see if we can get these Hornets and not get stung. We have to find a way to stop Chris Paul, but IMO he's the best PG in the league. It will be tough but it's what we have to do to win the game. He makes this team go.

butler doesn't play much if at all.
i don't think that if kaman out rebounds chandler that that means a clippesr win. hornets are much better offensive team and are a great defensive team.
but good luck.

We got a little cold to finish the quarter, but we're still in the game. 28-22 Hornets

We can't let this thing get away early...our offense doesn't look too great right now. Quick first quarter, too.

28-22 Hornets at the end of 1. We're not playing horrible, but not that great. We had a couple of miscues on offense that resulted in turnovers, and could use a bit more movement. Defensively we gave a couple of easy ones. Peja is having a nice start for NO. Only one 3 but he's going to the hoop and hitting jumpers.

32-22 Hornets with the lead.

Now we can't buy a bucket, and on top of that the Hornets are quicker to all the lose balls. We need to try to at least get some more second chance opportunities.

Well I mean....you've seen her face. Nuff said.
As good as we played in the opening minutes of the first quarter, we've played that bad in the first 3 minutes of the 2nd. We need to score some points and play some D or this thing will be over early.

Ugly start in the 2nd. Hornets have pulled ahead by 12. We're settling for bad shots while the Hornets are pushing the tempo.

That what happens when you play against a team with full on athleticism numba.
