Good to hear.

Al still isn't getting a lot of recognition from other people. The ROY thread in the general board has Horford/Durant/Scola. Really now.. Scola over Thornton? In the 3 pages I didn't even see anyone mention Al.

i have loved thornton ever since we drafted him. i seriously didnt expect him to slide to number 14. he started out slow but once he had that 33 point game against the hawks i knew he'd start getting better. if he continues playing well and starts rebounding more i bet he can steal the roty award from durant

This is very well-deserved.
Thornton may be a well-kept secret at the moment --- as we can see by his being unjustly overlooked for the rookie/sophomore game --- but it is only a matter of time before people all around the league are going to recognize what a gem he truly is.

The way he has played over the last 10 games or so, he should be a lock to be included on the sophomore team next All Star break.

I think Thornton gets a lack of recognition because of the team that he plays on. Everyone always overlooks the Clippers and never really thinks much of us. A good example is Thornton not playing in the rookie game, we all know that he was better than a hand full of the rookies that played in that game.
Let's say that the Celtics drafted Thornton and traded him away to Seattle, then everyone would really know how Al is. I've been saying that he has a bright future and he should be a joy to watch.

A handfulof Rookies, Barkley put it correct when he was told the team only consist of nine players and he responded with: "Show me nine Rookies that are better than Thornton!" How can other Rookies get more recognition when some of those teams have a worst record than ours? Thorton for ROY at the end of the season.

This is why we needed to be on National TV, now everyone knows just how good Thornton is. Not many people knew he was this good because the Clippers don't get that much recognition as it is. It was great to see that Al tied his career high last night, I was hoping that he would break it though.

Me too. He was on a really good pace, but he had some difficulty getting the ball in the 4th at times. They really played him tight on defense.

It's good to see Al get some props for his skills. He has nowhere to go but up. Keep going Al!
