After dropping down to 4 last week, he moves back up into the 4th spot behind Durant, Horford and Scola.

its better than espn.com's rookie rankings. they got al at #8. they got durant, horford, scola in front of him and i cant argue with those above him. but then next was t. young, landry, moon, and noah. those dont even make sense to me. there stats arent as good as thornton's. thats complete bull. david thorpe who made the rankings should be fired for such and idiotic article, but thats just my opinion.

I agree with the NBA.com as well. On ESPN's, I think it all comes down to winning and efficiency. Al has the lowest PER out of the 8 of them. Aside from Durant, Thornton is the only player out of the 8 that was really relied upon to help carry his team's scoring load. The majority of the others were moreso solid role players on playoff teams. Plus it has to be taken into consideration that the media pays less attention to the Clips. I like something about each of them and all but I think Al is getting the short end of the stick from Thorpe.
