On behalf of Donald T. Sterling and the entire Clippers organization, please accept our thanks for your unfaltering support this season. It has been a long season; one that last summer we thought we had a really good chance to succeed but unfortunately the season did not turn out as we had planned.

Amidst this long season, there were some bright spots. We found out that Chris Kaman can be one of the most dominant centers in the game. We were also able to see the development of one of the NBA's future stars, Al Thornton, and look forward to seeing him continue to develop as a member of our team. Another bright spot was the return of Elton Brand who played with uninhibited on-court passion after recovering from his pre-season injury.

This year we have learned that we cannot take anything for granted and will make sure we have a team next season that can compete in a highly competitive Western Conference. We are going to do everything in our power to make sure that we field a winning team and with the return of Shaun Livingston, the NBA Draft, free agency and trades, we know this goal is within reach.

I wanted to use this letter as a sign of our commitment of excellence to you. We take full responsibility for this difficult season and want to make it clear that we are focused on providing you with a top-tier NBA team.

Via our Full Court E-Newsletter and MYLAC Mobile Alerts, we will continue to update you with the latest Clippers' information pertaining to Livingston's return, the NBA Draft, free agency and trades. And drop in at Clippers.com every time you get a chance to keep up with all the happenings in Clipper Nation.

Again, thank you for your continued support of Clippers basketball. We wish you the very best this off-season, and can't wait to see you at STAPLES Center next season.

Sincerely,

Andy Roeser
Team President

Promises, promises. I'll believe it when I see it...

A long season indeed.
He identifies the same bright spots that we repeatedly talk about on this board.
"We will make sure we have a team that will compete" at least sounds as if they are willing to take some responsibility and do what needs to be done to build around the bright spots.
Unfortunately we lost a few ping pong balls to the Knicks in some kind of draw today --- but the draft will be a big sign, and off-season moves a bigger sign.
We're all watching and hoping....

Hopefully there will be some positive results coming around the corner for the Clips during the offseason. Put those results together and get a better equipted team that will be capable of competing with the other Western Conference opponents.
