Most of us agree that he is not worth the QO at about $5.8 mil. Though, most of us agree that he should be brought back. What would you offer him if you were the Clips' GM?

I would say 3-3.5mil ver 1-2 yrs.

It is impossible to tell how much he is worth until Shaun plays in the summer league.

But for the sake of conversation, Shaun is the only franchise-caliber PG we have in our sights right now, so I think that makes him extremely valuable even with question of his health. I think $3-3.5 mil is just right, because that offer is still respectable and it's more than any other team would be willing to pay for him, thus securing his future with us provided he turns out healthy.

$6M over 2 years, but 3.5 per is acceptable as well. If he proves steady throughout the contract, ink him up long term.

I don't think he had developed into a franchise PG by any stretch, before he got injured. Not that he wouldn't have, but that injury was really unfortunate for so many reasons.

I think the numbers being thrown around here are roughly fair.

I'm with Madmax, Shaun never established himself as a franchise PG and paying him solely on the expectation that he will still turn out to be is ridiculous at this point in his career. Mkwest's suggestion sounds reasonable.

100% correct. I'm with madmax and Tucker.

I would like to see him back, we will see what happens this summer. Like everyone says we should offer him a 2 year deal.

Is he healthy enough to even play in summer league? I thought he wasn't going to be back until training camp in October.

Time will tell. He has been pushing to play in the summer league since he wasn't able to return last season. The updates on his status have been few and far between, but Andrews has stated that his knee has recovered from the injury/surgery. The tendonitis that he had in March was the only real setback that he's had to deal with. I really hope that he's able to play in the SL though and build a playing rapport with Thornton & whoever is drafted.

Zip, zilch, nada. He wasn't any good when he was healthy. There are too many players with healthy knees to waste money on a skinny PG like Livingston.

That's pretty borderline. I mean I think the Clippers will do it (yes even the Clips), because we all are really pulling for Shaun.

But had the Clippers had a more stacked roster and been up against the cap, who knows...

5.8 if he signs the qualifying offer for one year, but he and the organization could still opt to negotiate a deal independent from the qualifying offer.
