Of course I'm here to ask about Brand. I'm not trying to be a jerk off, I just have a few questions.

Has there been talk about an extension for Brand? Is there any chance that Brand will be traded in order for the Clippers to get something for him before the All-Star break? Can Al Thornton fill his role?

Any possible way Clipper fans would be ok with a trade with the Bulls for Brand? What do the Clippers need?

I had in mind

Kirk Hinrich & Drew Gooden for EB

OR

Kirk Hinrich, Tyrus Thomas, Cedric Simmons, and the 39th pick for EB

Anyone interest Clipper fans on the Bulls Roster?

We miss Elton here, and for the record not one of us was ok with trading him. lol

We blame him.

The Bulls don't have what we want. No team has what we want for EB at this point-- unless the Spurs are trying to give up Tim Duncan. EB is not gonna be traded...if you want him, try to outbid us in the summer of '09. Until then, he is a Clipper.

Yeah the Bulls would have to offer a lot for Brand. We don't want to get rid of him, and plan to keep him at all costs. However I'm sure we could come up with some sort of deal for Hinrich. ;)

Brand, Thomas and #7 pick for #1 pick, Gooden and Hughes would work but I don't think Chicago would do it.

It has to involve the #1 pick, otherwise no deal.

What about Brand and #7 for #1, Ty Thomas, S&T Gordon?

#1 would have to be coming our way. Da Bulls aren't going to do that.

a. No, we aren't worried one bit about Brand leaving for nothing. He's the franchise.

b. We'll take the #1 plus Hinrich plus filler. We'll draft Beasley, who is an animal!

Hinrich and Deng for Brand is the best offer Chicago can offer

or

Hinrich, Deng and Gooden for Brand and others

We're not worried, because frankly it's out of our control anyways.

I am personally expecting that Brand will stay for next year, then end up signing somewhere else. He's not old, but he's currently in his prime. I think he will want his last long-term contract to be with a bigger playoff contender. It's really too bad we didn't get lucky in the lottery, because that alone might have given us that core group necessary for a long run.

But Brand is too good to give up at a discount. If you guys had landed somewhere other than the top pick, then maybe we could pull a reversal of the original trade that landed us Brand! ;)

Would you guys be interested in Arenas straight up for Brand?

The only guard we'd trade Brand for are the kind of guards you wouldn't trade for anybody, if you know what I mean.

Trading for or getting under the cap to sign Gilbert is another story.

I'd be willing to trade Kaman/Maggette/#7 for Arenas/Haywood/#18, but not Brand for Arenas straight up.

i understand. it's good business to get something for him though. not at a huge discount but.. it happens. iverson was traded for andre miller and joe smith. i mean.. sometimes you have to get what you can.

People are stealing my ideas

If that doesn't work, what about Hinrich and Drew Gooden to the Clippers for Elton Brand? The Clippers could lose Brand next year in free agency, so they might want something now in return. The bad news is the former Bulls' No. 1 pick played just eight games last season because of a torn Achilles.

You would need to add a pick or do some sort of pick swap, but having the #1, I don't think you guys are willing to do that. So probably not.

Maybe if you throw in Noah, but i'm sure you're not willing to do that either.
