LAC receives- #13 pick, #33 pick, POR's 2009 1st Rd Pick (lotto protected), Jarrett Jack, Javaris Crittenton, and Channing Frye
MEM receives- #6 pick and Martel Webster
POR receives- #5 pick, Brevin Knight, and Tim Thomas
Thoughts? Enough value to you guys for moving down from 6 to 13.....the way I see the draft shaping up, one of Augustin or Westbrook should still be available and if not, then someone real nice will be slipping

That doesn't sound like a bad trade to me. I'm not really sold on anyone that would be available at 7. We can get a future draft pick and we can get rid of TT.

Value-wise it's not a bad trade at all. I'm assuming Portland is moving up to draft Bayless. They'd have a real nice starting lineup and as long as Oden adapts well to the next level they have a good chance of making the playoffs. We get a lot younger in the backcourt and add some much needed depth. Frye gives us another big body in the frontcourt.
BTW, Memphis would end up with the 7th pick.

Portland is giving up way too much in this deal, riehldeal must be a Memphis fan.
Frye, Webster, Jack, future #1 (lottery protected), #13 pick this year isn't worth #5 pick, Knight and Thomas.

^Brevin and Thomas aren't exactly keepers in a tough WC.

I would do it as a Portland fan, as long as Mayo is still available at 5. It has been discussed over at our board as well. We need to do a quantity for quality trade, and as much as I like Webster I would deal him for Mayo. If it was Bayless at 5 I would have to think about it a bit more.
If Mayo and Bayless go 3 and 4, would you guys be looking to trade down. I also like Eric Gordon, so what would it take for you to go down to 13? Thanks.

I completely agree here. In addition, while these are all tradable pieces for POR, they would be looking for a good to great vet to help them now, most likely at PG. Unless they can move that 5th pick for someone really good, I don't think this is the deal for them.

I think there's almost no chance of Mayo being around at #5, and Chad Ford wrote Thursday that Mayo's recent play and interviews have gone so well that he might even go #2, though I'll only believe that when I see it.
I expect Mayo to be picked at #3. McHale's old roommate was his agent, and they need a chance at star power. But if MIN passes and goes with Lopez, I doubt SEA would pick Bayless over Mayo .. at least according to their posters.

No, he is a respected Portland fan. I do think he is giving away a bit much here. We do need to consolidate, but not give away. If his target is Mayo/Bayless one might be there at five. I think that Minny at three goes big. Mayo could be a smart pick as well to pair with Foye. Supposedly they like Kevin Love, but he could be had at 8. Seattle will take Mayo or Bayless. Gordon could be at 5 if Portland moved there which I think could be a good pick.

I would want Martell coming to LAC in if this deal were to happen.

If MEM and POR are for it, then let's do it!!! 3 picks plus Jack, Crittenton, and Frye? OMG!! We should draft Joe Alexander/Chase Budinger and Devon Hardin this year. Great great deal for us.
