Cat Mobley for Eric Snow
LeBron gets another weapon to work with. Mobley can consistently knock down the outside shot, and he brings a veteran presence to the locker room.
The Clips just want to save money here. Eric Snow is also a great guy to have in the locker room, and he is going to be a future NBA coach.

As it stands Mobley is the only SG we have on the team. It would save the team around $10M over the next 2 seasons, but I'd rather keep him and ship him out as an expiring '09 than to trade him Snow.

If the Clippers were rebuilding this trade would make sense. But like MK said, Mobley is our only shooting guard at the moment and whether or not that's still the case by next fall, Mobley would still play a valuable role off the bench.
Maybe if a three-way deal ever materialized with the Clippers acquiring Baron Davis for example, trading Mobley to Cleveland and sending Snow's expiring to the Warriors would be conveneint for all parties.

I'd consider it after the draft and free agency period to see what happens with Maggette. If the Clippers are able to obtain someone such as Calderon in a sign and trade for Maggette, then getting another veteran PG is redundant. Cat would be the starter by default at SG.
The Clippers are probably one season away from full scale rebuilding that would need to take place if Brand leaves as an UFA.

This one looks dead, apparently the Cavs are going to buy out Snow's contract.
