http://basketball.realgm.com/src_wireta ... d_in_redd/The Bucks are attempting to trade either Michael Redd or Mo Williams this summer.
Redd has received interest from several teams including the New York Knicks and Los Angeles Clippers.
Some NBA officials believe the Bucks could obtain a mid-to-late first-round pick for Williams.
Please make it happen.
I don't care if he is overpaid or not, he is exactly what this team needs. One of the best outside shooters in the game who could complement our inside force of Brand/Kaman.

Redd would really help us, but how would this work? Maggette/Thomas for Redd?

I agree CD. Even if he is overpaid, he would be a good fit for this team. My concern right now is what do we have to give up?

Milwaukee can have our #7 if it means landing Redd. After all arent' we hoping to draft the next Ray Allen/Michael Redd type player at #7? Throwing in CAT and TT are just icing on the cake.

I would do 7/Cat/Tim. It should be enough incentive to keep Brand around. If we could then move Maggette for Hinrich it would be a no-brainer (Ford would be more likely but Hinrich is healhier, and brings size/defense). Then bench would be pathetic but the front line would be ridiculous.

I'm on board for getting Redd. By the time we draft the players that can really help us the most will be gone. By getting Redd we get someone who will have immediate impact.

I would keep the pick and offer them a future 1st(probably '09, which should be a pick in the teens, hopefully). With the #7(too high of a pick to give up), we can get Westbrook, who will have a lot of weapons to choose from while he's running the point. Or we could go for Gordon, who could learn a lot from Redd, and it strengthens our bench.

#7, Mobley and Thomas is way too much depth to give up for Redd. I'd do Maggette S&T/Thomas for Redd and have Mobley come off the bench.
If back court scoring is what we want, I think trading up with Seattle or Memphis to draft Bayless would be a cheaper solution than giving up several players for Redd.

Redd is set to make a lot of money: $15, then $17, then $18. ($50/3yrs)
That's more than Elton Brand, the centerpiece of our team and the highest paid Clipper ever.
Do you think Sterling is going to pay Redd more than Brand? And if he's willing to pay that much for Redd, how much will he give for Arenas?
A draft pick will sign for around $2 mil/yr. Mobley/TT will combine for $31/2ys.
Which do you think Sterling will prefer?
Maggette is still our best bet to get a PG so I don't see him being included.
