Would this work for a new offseason plan?

now that Elton is gone and BDiddy is still on board, thats 14 mil to use on new players.
Deng and Gordon are both FA's and Zach Randolph is being shopped by the pf-heavy (literally) Knicks.

first - trade Tim Thomas and Cuttino Mobley along with a future protected pick for Zach Randolph
second - sign Loul Deng starting at 8 mil a year, sign ben gordon starting around 6. (if Gordon wants more, maybe maggette would like to be a part of a S&T? 6 is what he is likely going for)

anyway, this all winds up with the following team for LAC

Kaman/Powell
Randolph/Thornton
Deng
Gordon/Gordon
BDiddy

only thing really lacking is a stromile swift type, but that can be addressed at a later time.

If anything, we should be getting a first because Zach has negative value

Maggette has officially signed with Golden State, so this won't work.

this is unreleastic on so many levels. Deng for 8mil? Gordon for 6? haha.

Maggs is gone too.

Well, I did not know about maggette, but I don't think its unrealistic to at least make a good play at Deng OR Gordon, maybe both. I don't know what these players are rumored to want, but I'd bet Clippers can get someone to fill a spot or two. Also, trading for Randolph makes sense on a lot of levels for you guys because you are used to a low post/high post capable player on offense.
Randolph gets a bad reputation because he is not ideal for a team that has more attractive, CHEAPER options. Portland traded away his max deal because they had Alderidge and Oden, Knicks need to move one of he or Eddy Curry because one is semi-retarded and the other is just grounded. didn't Zbo play well under dunlevy in portland, or am i thinking of a different head coach? But the bottom line is you guys have a need for a scoring power forward, and we have one to spare. The pick will presumably be a non-lotto pick, so that should net us a future bench player.
