That was his closing line towards the end of the Ireland/Mason interview on 710 ESPN; Adande tried to get a preview but Dunleavy was already disconnected. Stay tuned...

Good lookin out with the info CelicaLuva. Anybody care to speculate who FA signing is? My personal guess is Sam Cassell.

Oh shnaps. I don't think it would be Sammy, I remember him saying he wanted to play with the Celtics this coming year, and we currently have 3 PGs(Davis,Knight,Taylor) on the team. It's a little hard to say cause with Camby we pretty much have a backup at every position now...

C:Kaman/Jordan
PF:Camby/Powell
SF:Thornton/Thomas
SG:Mobley/Gordon
PG:Davis/Knight/Taylor

Tough to say... 3M to spend.. If it's a resigning of Ross/Davis/Livingston it would be silly to announce over the radio.

I think we still need at least 1 more big man so I'll go with.. Magloire.

It could very well just be a signing of one of the team's own UFAs, namely Ross and Shaun - hoping for the latter cuz that'd imply Shaun has made enough progress in his rehab but we will see. If it's an external candidate one of the following would deem to be good moves by the clips: Kareem Rush, Matt Barnes, Mo Evans, Nachbar

Only reason I don't think it's one of the Clippers own UFA's is because that will cut into the $2 million the Clippers have under the cap. The Clippers can go above the cap to re-sign Ross since they never renounced him and still hold his rights.

It very well could be Livingston. All this talk about the Suns looking at him is something that would force the Clippers hand into making a move to keep Shaun. Paul Davis won't be able to get more than the minimum so I doubt it's him. Clips can always go back and sign him later once over the cap, like they can Ross.

Good point, somehow I thought Ross' bird rights were renounced as well. The reason for being able to go over the cap with Ross is obviously different than Paul's, since I doubt Ross can be kept with only the minimum

Yeah, I wasn't very clear about that part.

Dunleavy loves the vets. I was looking at the rosters of his old Portland teams and he had solid veterans up and down that bench. Big names like Pippen, Steve Smith and Detlef Schremph, all the way down to Stacey Augmon and Greg Anthony. Even Futher down to Joe Kline and Antoni Harvey. Those Portland teams won with some youth mixed in, like (at the time) Stoudamire, Brian Grant and Jermaine O'Neal (JO got off the bench in Portland more than some people realize the year they won 59 games). The blueprint of the current Clippers team is starting to resemble that of Dunleavy's old Blazers teams. I'm really anxious to see who Dunleavy says the Clippers are signing.

What a tease by Dun Sr. I'm excited to find out who it is-- even if it is just a re-signing of Ross/Livingston/Davis...no matter who it is, we'll be able to get a clearer look at our roster!

Nice move, even though the W's will most likely match. It definitely shows effort, though. Not such a bad off-season.

I don't know if the Warriors automatically match. They still have to sign Monta and Biedrens and as the ESPN article mentions, they have a couple people ahead of Azuibuike on the depth chart.

Keep our fingers crossed as he'd fortify our bench.
