Darius Miles Comeback

Interesting, but I don't think he'd never play for the Clips again. I don't think this guy would never play off the bench behind a younger player.

Remember how we all thought this kid was the next KG? I'm actually wondering if he was a bigger bust than Olowakandi.

I don't know, I would not mind completing the circle. When Miles was with the Clippers he was a star in the making. He never was considered a cancer. I have always wondered if being traded ruined his career. I was so upset when they traded him rather than Odom. I wanted Odom gone as bad as I wanted Maggette gone. If we have room, I would love to see him back on our team. I think he is worth the contract he is trying to seek.

Me too. But judging based on what's happened to him in Cleveland and Portland, it seems that the guys doesn't really like basketball as much as a pro should. If he had committed and worked harder, he could've been the player we all thought he'd be. Now he's attempting a comeback at 26-- and if he's fully committed-- he can still have a place in the league.

Well, his success with the Clippers DID land him a big role in a movie. He might want to come back to LA after spending most of his career in smaller cities. Maybe the pressure to entertain people in Los Angeles helped push Miles to work harder. I wouldn't be surprised if Miles and the Clippers had an interest in each other.

I would say no, because A) he was drafted lower than Candiman, and B) Candi really just sucked, But Darius had some unfortunate injury problems. I guess you can still be a draft bust if your promising career is derailed by injury, but you can't predict that when you draft a guy.

His skill level never really improved that much though. I remember Cleveland was really excited to get him, I read articles about how hard he was prepping and how they wanted him to be this all-around great player. But he never really developed much beyond his great physical assets. Watching him trying to run a break was kind of scary. ;)

We don't need DMiles on this team now.

Darius would just be a novelty on this team. Aside from his physical gifts, he really didn't have too many real basketball skills other than running the floor. Now, with his injuries and all, I don't think this comeback is going to have a happy ending. Well, maybe for Darius' pocketbook because he'll be cashing in at Portland's expense if he can sign a 10-day contract.
