5.4 Magnitude Earthquake in the LA area

Post#1 » by thanumba2clippersfan » Tue Jul 29, 2008 8:54 pm

I was surprised that this was national news. This earthquake made my whole house shake, but some times my house shakes when slam the front door. So I wasn't really sure what was going on. So far I haven't heard of any significant damage or any injuries. For me it made me uncomfortable but that was about it.
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

I was kinda confused to be honest. It's been so long since we had an earthquake I had a total brain fart. I was kneeling down about to go under my desk when it started shaking, but I was like.. "wait... do I go under a desk or go to a doorway?" So I just stood around for a bit and ran for the door after it stopped.

I was on facebook, lol, but I rushed to the doorway. My computer desk went crazy shaking, but it really felt like someone was playing loud music or something in the other room. Heh.

I was at work in a meeting and a couple of people at the table were getting ready to hop under the table. I usually continue to sleep (I slept through Northridge), lay there, or keep sitting when an earthquake hits, but it was rolling for awhile so I know what Fishy is talking about when he says he was confused. In the end, I just stayed where I was. I hope everyone is ok and that nothing was damaged.

Ditto. Makes it awkward when people tell all their cool stories about where they were when it happened...
