Alley Oops: this season vs. last season

Post#1 » by illastrate » Thu Sep 4, 2008 4:43 pm

Last season: I seriously only remember ONE alley-oop that we completed, and that was Dickau to Mobley. I remember Brevin thowin a lob to Kaman, who just layed it in. And Terrible Tim throwin ill advised lobs to Thornton, all of them missing the mark by A LOT

This season: Baron to Thornton. Baron to Ricky D. J-Will to Thornton. J-Will to Ricky D. Baron to Gordon. Gordon to Thornton. Baron to Jordan. J-Will to Gordon. The possibilities are endless! I cannot wait.

I do remember mentioning that there would be a lot more lob possibilities after all the acquisitions we made.
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

Ahh Man....Come on we can do those :D

1st one- I'm pretty sure Thorton will catch one of those from Baron Davis.

2nd one- If that did not look like a JWill play I don't know what does. That could be J-Will off the backboard to Ricky Davis, B.Davis, Thorton, Mobley (Can't believe at Mobley's age he still has hops) hell even Camby. Not sure about Kaman that seems like a injury move for him lol

I have only seen Chris Kaman finish an alley oop once. I'll be happy just to see him go up strong on a regular dunk. We have some real athletes once again and I'm sure over the course of the season we'll see them connect on some alley oops. DeAndre Jordan should also get a few opportunities to throw down on a few alley oops if/when he's given the minutes. Right now put-backs and alley oops are his whole game on the offensive end. Back in the days of Q & Miles, we may have lost, but we lost in style.

Kaman to himself is a certainty. I just hope he finishes like he did last season and not revert back to missing ridiculously easy layups.
