Predictions

Post#1 » by mkwest » Mon Sep 22, 2008 7:01 am

How many games will we win this year?

First and foremost, I'm drinking the kool-aid. We've got a great chance to make the playoffs. The Western Conference was unbelievable last year, but you can't expect that every year. 44 could very well get you a playoff birth this year, as some teams have lost talent and others are getting older. I wouldn't count on anything less than that but I think we can manage that.We read that the Clippers must stay healthy (which is true), but these other teams are one injury away from slipping themselves.

I'm going with 45-37.

If none of the big guns miss more than 15 games, then I'm gonna say the Clips will win at least 45 games.

It's a little too early without seeing the team in the preseason, but I would predict 40-42 at this point. I think Portland could win 50+ games this year with the addition of Fernandez and Oden.

I can guess on 42 to 45 wins depending on no key injuries to key players. Also like jgustav1 mentioned about Portland, they look to be the upcoming team this season that could make a playoff appeareance. with Fernandez and Oden coming to the squad, the Blazers will definately be a team to keep some eyes on this season.

1. Lakers
2. Hornets
3. Houston
4. Utah
5. San Antonio
6. Phoenix
7. Clippers
8. Dallas or Portland

1. Lakers
2. Hornets
3. Houston
4. Utah
5. San Antonio
6. Phoenix

These six team I believe will make the playoffs. The last two spots will be fought between multiple teams: Dallas, Portland, Denver, and of course the Clipps.

I'll say the Clipps get 45 wins, but miss the playoffs by a game or two. This conference is just too stacked.

I think Portland will be interesting team, and definitely exciting to watch. I was impressed with their play last year. I think they overachieved some, but there's no question that they have a young talented team and a great coach that will be contending for a spot. Hopefully they'll be injury-free.

45+ I seem to optimistic especially the past few seasons saying that we would make the playoffs last season. I do think that we can make a playoff push as long as our players stay healthy. It should be a fun season and I can't wait for it to being.
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!
