The wait to see the Clippers' Marcus Camby -- in a real-time game, that is -- will apparently be longer than previously expected.

Camby, plagued by a bruised right heel, on Sunday effectively ruled himself out for the remainder of the exhibition season. He was speaking at Staples Center after the Clippers defeated FC Barcelona, 114-109, their fourth victory in five exhibition games.

They're being cautious and keeping him out until the regular season. Camby sounded like he could play if he had to.

That was one source but the L.A. Times only has him going to see a hand specialist today. How would J.A. Adande know the timeline of recovery when Baron hasn't even seen the specialist yet? Add that to the fact that he was shooting around during the Barcelona game leads you to believe it's not that bad.

After reading that Baron was shooting around his injury can't be all that bad. It is only preseason and like I said before some of the vets don't really need to preseason. I just hope that everyone is healthy for the season opener against the Lakers.

I'm interested to see Camby's body language when we play Friday against the Denver Nuggets.

I read this last night. I'm a little concerned, but I'm not worried at this point. We do have a rough schedule to start the season, but we will be playing teams battling injuries themselves, new coaches, suspended players (Melo), etc. Those teams are going to have to play some of those same tough teams, so they will likely have struggles as well.

If these guys are truly hurt, then it's better that it happened before the season began rather than midway or down the stretch.

Something else I noticed is Lakers have a back to back game Blazers then us.

Baron Davis should be fine to play on oct 29

So it looks like his finger should be fine and he will be available to play against the Lakers and do some damage to them and their fans.

A bruised heel hurts terribly, so I don't blame Camby.

This shouldn't be much of a worry, considering Camby doesn't shoot the ball much from the perimeter, so I don't think he'll lose his feel for the game. The only thing that may effect him is his conditioning going into the season, but that shouldn't be too much of a deal.
