Remember this guy signed with the clippers in september 28 2003 with desmond penigar,matt garrison etc then he got waived. I want to know the real story about this guy, was he offered a guaranteed contract and his team refused, was there a buyout issue or he just couldn't make the team ? I just want to know if what he said about his former team is true-that they didn't want him to leave or he wasn't able to make it,or if he's just lying to the press,read below.
He said once in an interview in Lebanon that the coach Mike Dunleavy gave him a locker and told him you could become a great player if you follow my steps and that his team refused to give him his release.

Wow, I've been a hardcore Clipper fan since '97 and have no idea who this guy is. I don't think I've ever heard of him before.

Like GuyverX here I haven't heard of him either. I've been a fan since about 1998, back then I wasn't looking all the resources that we have no to look at information.

I remember, he was a guard/forward. We signed him to a 10 day contract but Khatib joined Sagesse Beirut, signing a three year contract which ended up being a 10 year contract. HE WAS SCREWED. He wanted to play in LA, but his team held him back....We also got a big man in the draft in 2005 that we haven't seen, don't remember his name!

I don't recall him being on the Clips, but he does look familiar.

He wasn't, he signed a 10 day but was not aloud to come play for us!

actually he only played one season after that with sagesse,then he left the team, he never signed a 10 year contract,the longest contracts in Lebanon are 5 years. btw what was the reason they held him back,did they want a buyout to give his release ? whats the email of Mike Dunleavy btw ?
