Z-Bo for TT and RI's Finest

Donnie is now awaiting your approval. Let's get this done. Gives you a down low three headed monster now that Zach has defense with him and it gives us a shot at LeBron, Wade, Amare or Bosh.

I'm not really a fan of this trade but it looks like it's going to happen. I'm sure Dunleavy wanted Randolph all along.
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

I'm pretty sure no one really had Zach's defense in mind when they made this deal (or make this deal). If his defense is that great, I don't see NY going for the capspace plan alone. They'd probably want something along the lines of a young, promising player and an expiring instead. Anyways, I do see why both teams would look into this deal, the biggest question is how will the team chemistry pan out after another high-scoring offensive player is added? I don't see this trade being defined as 'good' or 'bad' just yet, but this question is largely reliant on how this team performs together.

I meant defense with him down low aka Camby and Kaman. Shot blockers.

Clearly the people who are most excited about the prospect of this trade are New York fans. There are good reasons for that.
I think it's a terrible idea.
Count me in with Clipperfan4life and Ms JJ.
With any luck, ZR will end up in Dallas instead. Please, please, let him go to Dallas.

I had a feeling this trade was gonna happen. I don't mind getting Mardy Collins but I don't want Zach on this team. Looks like we'll have a few less players on the team for tonight.

Wait, we just got a 20/10 guy (plus Mardy Collins) for Trash Thomas and Crap Mobley and you guys are mad about it??!? If anything, we can trade him to the Bobcats for Crash and Felton. If we keep him, we just became a better team with an official lowpost threat. Another important thing is this frees up minutes for Gordon.

I, for one, welcome this trade. I think mj_shoefanatic and scratch21 share the same sentiments. Anybody else?

For all his flaws, Zach is a hard worker. He's a gym rat and he wants to win. I've seen him absolutely dripping with sweat during games. He takes some bad shots, but he fights for rebounds and he's not soft. He's also a good post presense as well as having a shot out to 3 pt range. You guys certainly got the best player of this trade. You also got the worst contract.

If your team is looking to tank this year (and I don't think you are) then this was a bad move. If you're looking to improve, then I think this trade improves your team.

Most knickfans are happy about this deal, a few liked what they saw from Zach this year and they aren't so sure.

On Collins, he's not really an NBA player. He won't hurt you too badly. He plays solid D, he's a good rebounding PG, very big, but he has no shot. He's an 11th or 12th man, who looks better in pre-season than in the regular season. He doesn't quite have NBA skills, but he tries to make up for it with hustle and undercontrol play, but he's slow, so hustle can only get him so far.
Go Knicks!! Go Mets!!

As for the Jets . . . just keep it entertaining.

someone else mentioned this..but mike dunleavy might just be the isaiah thomas of the west. just get as much big name players as possible and see what happens.

is mike the gm losing focus in an attempt to save mike the head coach's job?

Just so you guys know, your not getting a shorter Eddy Curry here, so for those of you expecting a fat out of shape ball hog who doesnt have heart and doesnt play with heart and passion then you will be surprised. Randolph this year has played with 100% effort, he has battles at Center for us and done the best he can, hes 3rd in the league in rebounding and the one problem we had with him was that he was playing Center for us, but with you guys he easily goes back to PF where he belongs, and he will work hard and battle. Sure he will take a couple bad shots a game, but dont let that take away from the other things he does well, get to the FT line where he is one of the best bigmen to shoot FTs and he will give 100% effort all game. Putting him with some defensive bigs like Camby and Kaman will really make Randolph shine. I think you guys got a steal if all we get is expirings.

I don't like the fact either kaman or camby will have to be sitting on the bench :/

I was starting to think that myself. I don't want to be turn into another Knicks, even though the Knicks are turning it around now. Big name players doesn't always equal winning. You need a team that plays together and puts egos aside. We might be making some more moves since we now have Randolph, Kaman, and Camby. I'm sure Kaman or Camby will get traded.

Good bye cap space :(

Why couldn't you guys give us Camby instead of either Mobley or Thomas???

He's trying a mid-season re-tool around Baron Davis, because the current roster is unfortunately broken.
